Is there any talks about 4 man with friends being nerfed or something?, It's flat out unfair and its well too powerful, Been there many times, Light switches are not hard to counter, I found out a way, Just slug them too death, Yes i know it's slow but hey you will still win.

The problem is not all groups use comms and are effective. There isn't a way to prevent all comms without doing illegal things. We need to buff killers and give solo more information like auto kindred or something.
It's never going to happen. We are firmly in cycle through new people and keep others coming back for the gimmick of new stuff phase.

swf is not a problem. also coh is completely balanced. hit validations is flawless as the anti cheat system. everbody will tell you that, and how sbmm is organizing games, yet all the pros are so sad to play soloQ for some reason (maybe weakest link of swf).
Killer is still very strong, well except when nea body blocks you while she is high on BT.
but even the SWF with gen rushing still struggles way too much, becouse by the bhvr standards you have to sweat really hard to win (equal to 2k).
so we dbd needs more advantage on survivor side and rework majority of maps, becouse there are not enough (safe) pallets, and it is bizzare not satisfying that only half the loops you can run around for 40s before connecting to another pallet.
tldr; nobody cares for killers, maybe go play some civilization, its a good game. Be happy that new chapter will have another ptb nerfed killer to fit into standards of dbd and being tbagged across the realms

You physically cannot stop people from playing with their friends. We've had it before where people would lobby dodge until they found their 4man and we'll have it again.
You can't stop voice comms without installing Spyware, and even then it's far from perfect.
Buff solo. Buff killer. Nerf COH. Everyone wins.

The reason this game has been kept alive this long is because people can play it with their friends as a party game.

Time changes. This game has playerbase big enough to gut SWF without big consequences. SWF is only a half and if you nerf it not everyone will leave. maybe 15% of that half.
That changes is good if you look into the future. More people will enjoy the game and play it longer because of less stressful and more fun games

When they last put out player stats (like over 2 and a half years ago) it showed about half of all survs were in at least a two-man SWF. With solo queue just so delightful since that time and much worse now, that half has to have grown substantially.
Now throw in former killers who have switch roles in the last few weeks in an attempt to keep their sanity. You think they too said "Yes! SOLOQ!! Give it to meee!" No way, they'd know better than anyone the difference.
They aren't going to limit perks or issue debuffs to SWF, or any other "punishments" it's not their way. The only method I can see ever actually implemented would be to get solos the tools they need to be much closer to SWF level of possible coordination, and then rebalance killers around that. Exactly how to do all that is very debatable.
Also I do wish we have more recent stats to use, but that is another subject entirely.

Agreed. But it helps the grind. Atleast we get something out of it. I have seen this topic on this forum for years. I don't see BHVR ever addressing the imbalance that SWF brings to the game. So give me BP atleast for my misery.

I have long advocated that killers should earn bonus bp for a much harder match and that those bonus points will also tell the killer he faced a team. That way killers will stop blaming really good solo teams for SWF with comms.

Like I said before, you nerf swf, kill rates rise, then killers get nerfed accordingly.
Be careful what you wish for, swf keeps the kill rate lower.

They need to do something different. Yes kill rates might overall balance to roughly half but there are gross differences at both ends of the spectrum. Everyone is miserable until the wind up just outside their normal mmr. That isn't any way to run a game.

A good many of the killers out there simply do not ever want to go against SWF, especially full squads. No bloodpoints will bribe most of them either.
You'd be surprised how accurate you are. Many complain survs are slow to adjust to stuff, but many a killer who thinks they're hot shytt haven't or can't adapt to good coordination from very good survs, solo or not.

Cause by your logic, if SWF is the only reason people are still playing this game and spending money on it....whats the point of the rest of the game?
By your logic, Solo Queue survivors, and Killers, and the balance of the rest of the game are both secondary in importance to SWF.
And by sheer deductive reasoning, you've uknowingly admitted that SWF is not only OP since its the only draw keeping the game alive, but also gaslit the DBD devs by affirming their approach for the game is to do nothing other than cater to SWF mode.

...no? im saying that dbd's massive sustained growth has been because of the ability to play together with friends, like every co-op game ever, and without the ability to play with friends the game would not currently be as popular as it is because every co-op game has that feature. having a game seem outdated because you cant queue with friends isnt how you go about keeping your game alive when you refuse to listen to basically anything else

If they aren't dodging left, right, and center then prolly. I do wonder how many killers we've lost recently because of not wanting to deal with boons plus hating certain maps plus hating dh plus hating their conception of SWF's out there.

My friend, they don't give a #########. Or they would listen to long term players who have been begging for QOL updates over new content.
Player retention is not their goal, bringing in new players and selling is their goal.
Hence, why SWF will never be nerfed, they are the cash cow.
Without them, killers would appear too strong, solos would leave, killer q would rise and the money would dry up.

To be fair the only downside that they could apply to SWF's is a slow genspeed overall, but that never will happen. Even though I mock this excuse, it's the SWF's who help to maintain the game popular. And at the end of the day, us, the solo survs are the ones being the guinea pigs for killers when they get wrecked by a SWF team.

Killer is not for the weak of heart. Only a true Masochist can grind killer in this game. I play 6-8 hours a week nowadays. Still rather have BP over what we currently have.

Even though I am a killer main through and through and have been thoroughly abused by toxic SWF groups, I highly doubt your assertion that gutting SWF wouldn't impact the game much.
They are giving themselves a very big bonus via map awareness, that should actually be gained via perks, but they are also the biggest chunk of the survivor player base, especially in the evening.
