About A FNaF Chapter;
So, for a long time now until recently, if someone would ask what licenses they would want featured in DBD there would always be someone who would say “Fnaf.”
But since about after nemesis came out, I’ve stopped seeing people mention it.
Personally, I don’t care about a FNaF chapter. I’m not against it, nor for it.
Why do you guys think people have stopped asking for it and also what do you think about a FNaF chapter in DBD?

Because they started teasing their chapters months in advance purely so fnaf can't be conciddered anymore.
Obviously /s

Enough with FNAF already.
If the devs are going to add it in later on, they will eventually. Screaming "GIVE US FNAF! GIVE US FNAF" won't make a good case for both fans and non-fans regarding the franchise. In fact, it'll only leave a sour taste in our mouths.
And personally, FNAF is WAY below the priority list after Alien, Predator, Child's Play, Jason, Candyman and etc. Springtrap just doesn't sound like a menacing killer for DBD. Soul possessed dolls/animatronics can be achieved with Chucky after all.

AAAAAAAA
Please guys it isn't FNAF....we already know it is Ringu

Yes I think we all know that. I just want to discuss why the topic of a FNaF chapter hasn’t been talked about like at all since Nemesis. It’s weird not seeing the weird stuff FNaF fans want.

People stopped asking for it once they realized that there were more fitting franchises worthy of being in the game. Nothing against Fnaf tho, i wouldn't mind it coming in

I guess I agree, I’ve never really seen how FNaF would even fit into DBD while there are other licenses that would fit much better.

Fnaf is kinda like Saw. They'd have to be really creative with how they implement it since the source material doesn't really fit in with how DbD plays

Perhaps the Resident Evil chapter revealed that DBD can land a big name game studio, opening doors to other horror icons or series people previously thought just out of reach.
0 -
I suppose if put up to the challenge BHVR would probably be able to implement it. The question is though how well would it be implemented.
0 -
But wouldn’t that thinking mean more people would be asking more FNaF? If dbd could get big name licenses then surely dbd could get some indie license, right?
That would be what people would think, so why hasn’t that happenned?

I still mention it but always include a *trigger warning* so I don't get snapped at.

FNaF will be a nail in the coffin. There's still hope for tgis game. Let's hope they recover from the current tailspin instead of adding a children's jump scare character. And yes, before anyone screams about it, the writer outright said FNaF is a children's scary game to help introduce them to scary movies, etc.
2 -
I'd have to say they won't implement it well. For Amanda, they still had some ideas for her. A stealth Killer able to apply deadly traps that had to be dealt with otherwise POP.
For our boy Springy, all they know is that he killed children, possesed a Spring-Lock animatronic, can't really die and can crawl in vents. There's not much you can do just based on that

Yeah, I’d have absolutely no idea how to make any FNaF characters into dbd and if I can infer it, they probably wouldn’t be fun to play.

I've had an idea with Springtrap using the Phantoms from Fnaf 3 combined with a teleport ability, wanna see the in depth concept?

Because its very annoying, gives the fanbase a terrible reputation and won't change anything
2 -
Sure.

The people who wanted it the most got pretty deep in their feelings when it turned out the paragraph was Pinhead. At that point they just sorta went off into the fog.
Honestly, I don't see why there is such a desire to have Fnaf when BHVR has a perfectly good Naughty Bear just sitting there in the corner who could fill that niche perfectly.
Besides it isn't like it can't happen eventually, but I don't see what they would do outside of maybe a spring suit mori. Fnaf's a jumpscare game and the most violent thing that happens in the game is probably getting scooped by Innard in Sister Location.

This. I was hoping with the announcement so early we wouldn't get fnaf posts leading up to the chapter but nooope.

I'm not a FNaF fan, so I definitely couldn't answer that.
From a business perspective, I can only assume that BHVR has little incentive to bring FNaF to the game, considering the high profile clients they've managed to secure thus far. FNaF has little to offer DBD, with regard to garnering a new audience/building a bigger player base, so that collaboration would be strictly fan-service.
I don't see the cross-over happening, as BHVR understandably has their sights set on licenses that will attract the most new players or strengthen their ties to classic icons and solidify their position in the horror genre.

I don’t know whether you are talking about in general or you are missing the post of this discussion entirely.

This was one of my earliest concepts so it probably won't be as good as some of my more recent ones

In my opinion the design is quite childish and unreliable for DBD "horror", i don't know how to explain it exactly.
FNaF is just not it, it's not scary outside of its own game.
I'd rather choose Slenderman if i can.
1 -
Slenderman has so much more potential for dbd than fnaf. A killer who you can't look at or else he gets more powerful. However I wouldn't be bothered if fnaf came to dbd as long as the killers power is fun idc what the killer looks like.

you still gotta give that one guy credit for going as far as saying the Trickster teasers were 100% a distraction to the actual chapter coming out which was FNaF
Mans had a dream, and pretty boy ruined it
1 -
Goddamn. This community just loves getting it's panties in a twist whenever the word "Fanf" is even thought of.
2 -
And all the stuff with Pinhead's teasers too
2 -
Speaking of candyman didn't the people who want him ignore bhvr straight up say that the 5th Anniversary was going to resident evil and still say it was going to be candyman for the 5th and also like fnaf fans moved the goalposts on all the pinhead reveals from the teasers saying candyman to say his name being hidden in the letters
