Just Another NOED Question For The People That Say It's "OP" And Can't Do "Bones"
Let me ask you guys something if you say NOED is "OP" and it needs a "nerf" and all that stuff. Why is it that you have time to go hunt a totem to bless it with a Boon Effect and you keep Blessing some of them all game why don't you have enough time to cleanse the other totems to prevent NOED?
Like yeah it's strong I get that but, saying it's OP is a bit much considering it can never be activated at all sometimes in some games. So if you Bless them why can't you Cleanse the others?

As a solo queue player who dislikes noed (and doesnt use boons) the main reason why people have time to use boons, and why boons are somewhat great in solo queue, is that not only do they come with a relatively strong effect, but they also mark where a totem has been blessed, which tells the whole team that one totem is already gone in the trial unless its snuffed.
Do I think there are better perks to use in solo queue? Absolutely. Kindred, Windows of Opportunity, Bond, Open Handed, list could go on and on. But boons arent a bad choice as it rewards you for your time which in solo queue you usually dont have a lot of.

No reason to do bones. Keep each location in your head and come back when NOED procs.

"You can do one totem, which immediately puts pressure on the killer and can save you time in a later situation, so why can't you do all five totems with absolutely 0 certainty of any return on investment?"

Probably because booning a totem is a guaranteed investment AND doesn't require you to tedious scour the map to make absolutely sure you got all 5 totems, else you may as well not have cleansed any at all

There is a difference between finding one Totem and bless it or searching for all 5 Totems. Cleansing 1 Totem does exactly nothing to NOED, at this point, you already wasted time without any benefit. (Yeah, 1k BPs, but those are whatever)
I also rarely see that Survivors bless different Totems. Often enough when I snuff out a Totem, the same will be reblessed.

Doing totems is easy, it’s just that people choose not to do them, which I understandable considering you don’t know whether or not the killer has NOED. However, it’s also understandable if someone dies to NOED in the absence of doing totems.
I think people neglect to acknowledge the fact that you can just cleanse NOED once it procs, which again easy to do if you have a rough idea of totem spawns or pay attention to where totems are throughout the course of the match.
Additionally, using NOED means you sacrifice a valuable perk until all generators are completed, which is a significant factor to consider.
Lastly, NOED in most cases will net the killer 1 extra kill unless you play into it.
I really don’t see an issue. It’s probably the weakest second chance perk in the game and can be countered in a number of ways. Just bringing a map renders it useless. Yes, bringing 1 item can negate an entire perk. Not to mention totem perks.

Because every time I cleanse 4 totems and don't cleanse the last one thinking someone else must have done it, no one did and I get hit with noed.
It's not about time investment, it's about knowing how many have been done or not without having to use a perk with information that SWF already gets for free.

There have been good replies already, so if I miss something it's likely not that there aren't 10 valid ways to reply to this, just that I feel the others have been said already.
Why don't we have time to cleanse?
- If the description of NOED was simply: "The exit gates remained blocked until all five totems are cleansed.", it would be a strong perk. The amount of time that would waste is enormous. No speed boost or status effect, just time wasting. Yet you're asking us why we don't voluntarily make this effectively part of the killer base kit, by going out of our way to do this every game anyway, just on the ~20% chance that the killer has NOED? How strong must you believe NOED to be, to make an argument like this? We're talking around 5X as strong as my hypothetical perk, that I believe would already be strong. That's how strong YOU surely believe NOED is, to be phrasing your post like you have. But it's not OP, right?
- If I go around cleansing the totems in my SQ games and two of my team mates brought CoH and the killer didn't have NOED, I have singled handily thrown the game for our team. Actively taking away strong perks from my fellow survivors, whilst taking a hell of a long time to do it that could have been spent on gens. This is your advice? You advise survivors behave like this? These are the words of somebody trying to defend NOED and claim it isn't OP? It isn't OP, because you can throw games to make sure you don't face it, even though the killer probably didn't even have it. That's your logic?
"...saying it's OP is a bit much considering it can never be activated at all sometimes..."
Assuming this is referring to the games where you 4k before the gens are done and not those 1% of games where there was no dull totem to bless, you have no argument here whatsoever. If Chelsea FC were found to have broken financial fair play regulations and their punishment for this was to have the results of any PL games next season that they won by 2 or more or lost by 2 or more goals, changed by awarding a goal to their opposition post match, all that would be affected at the end of the season is their goal difference, which is virtually no punishment at all.

I run detectives hunch so noed really isn’t a problem…….. until you face a face camping bubba and the only way to beat him is to gen rush, which doesn’t give you much time to do bones

Solos shouldn't have to use perks, items, or offerings for information that SWF get for free and this being the case perpetuates the lack of balance in this game.
Therefore noed is a solo stomping perk therefore is unhealthy game design.
Buff solo. Buff killer. Job done.
