Give killers the ability to destroy totems.
Since we know have the boon meta I think it's time for killers to have the ability to destroy totems. There are multiple situations where it could be useful.
Killer finds a boon totem and after destroying the effect the killer destroys the totem. That would be a similar experience like survivors destroying hex totems. You find the totem, the other side loses his power.
It would counter other perks like the locker heal perk and the new witch perk where she has a map after destroying a totem.
It's a small change but would be a fair buff for killers.

I’d rather boons just go on cooldown while snuffed

Okay then hex totems should respawn after 60 seconds. Same logic.

Generally speaking, new concepts should at least attempt to be balanced before they're tossed out. Boons as a mechanic don't need this change, it'd be dramatic overkill for two thirds of the list of boon perks, so instead I think more subdued tweaks are in order. Range tweaks, verticality tweaks, some kind of cooldown...

If they get a 16s animation that resets if you stop, no problem.

Why should we compare the two? Sure the both work on totems but they are both completely different otherwise.
Firstly boons aren’t map wide and secondly take time to set up. Hex’s on the other hand activate from the start and are map wide

Hex totems: Give you a very strong effect that can get destroyed trough the match. You can't choice where it is.
Boon totems: Give you a very strong effect that can get destroyed but can get reactivated. You can choose where it should be
Yes boons have range limits but even can changed while one is active. There can also be multiple of the same ones around the map. Yeah it takes time to set up but not extremely long.

Sounds fair

Look at it this way. Are boons an issue or is COH an issue? Just because COH is op right now and needs toning down doesn’t mean shadowstep and exponential should suffer too

there's 1 killer and 4 survivors, any killer action should take up 1/4th the time maximum, make it no more than 4 seconds.

Boons are definitely an issue - an infinitely renewable bonus of multiple perks for all survivors simultaneously? That's insanely unbalanced even just as a concept.

Survivors: NoED is OP. Who cares if we can break it forever by doing 5 totems spread amongst 4 teammates!
Also Survivors: Boon totems are fine. A infinitely-rebuildable totem that takes up the Killer's time to remove is 100% fair and balanced.

Renewable but costs the survivors time they could spend on gens. Multiple perks only if you bring multiple boons and only within 24m?
Sounds fairly balanced to me

If we give CoH a 60 sec cd you know swfs will just rotate lighting the totem. Id rather boons have a 1 time use.

I meant to say global cooldown sorry. So if you snuff 1 all get destroyed and go on cooldown for 60 seconds

If killers could choose the totem even if they had to take 3,5 seconds to lit it up, it would be a massive buff to hexes. No more ruin inside shack or on top of a hill like a christmas tree.

That might work.

I disagree on several levels :)
- It only costs 1 survivor any time (and not much time to be honest) but the benefits go to the entire team.
- You get multiple perks just from Shadow .. you get infinite Distortion + Lucky Break. If a survivor takes Shadow & CoH then you get both of those plus infinite faster self-care for all 4 team members at the cost of 2 perks from a single survivor.
