Is it a bug that the perk Saboteur starts its cool down even if you don't complete a hook sabotage??
Ive been playing lately and using the perk Saboteur but i think im being dumb but everytime i use it and dont complete a full sabotage of a hook the perk still gets blocked and has cooldown is this meant to happen or is the perk supposed to only begin its cool down when you complete a full sabotage? Thankyou :)

I think this is meant to happen to eg avoid hook sabo spamming (starting a sabotage makes a loud noise notification for the killer)

Only if you have Hangman's Trick.
And there must be another reason, because the notification is not more spammable than a rushed vault anyway.

I mean i mainly use it to sab a hook when a killer is carrying a survivor to it but when i try to sab it and i get hit the perk starts its cooldown already before i completed the sabotage of the hook

Wait.. sabotage with perk doesn’t make a noise notification?
But sabotaging with a toolbox will always generate a noise notification (as long as you don’t use the addon), right?

i dont mind about the noise notification im a survivor player i just wanna know is it normal for the perk saboteur to start its cooldown after you begin sabo and if you get hit by the killer whilst sabo it it wont let u sab the hook again as the cooldown has already started but using a tool box u can still sabo twice

The noise notification happens only when the hook itself is destroyed, not when saboing, with Hangman's Trick it should happen when starting to sabo iirc.

I never ran Hangman’s Trick… and i always though i Heard- the notification as killer when a surv starts to sabo, but now thinking about it I guess i don’t even recall the last time a surv tried that….
its been like that for a long time at least… only the devs would know if it is intentional that way or a bug..

Ok. its just with the toolbox if you are sabbing and u get hit while the killer is carryingthe survivor u can start sabbing again and finish sabotage the hook. But with the perk Saboteur if you get hit whilst your sabbing it stops the sab action but it doesnt let you to sab again as the cooldown has already started.
