Tired of Babysitting Duty
Once again, SBMM has done nothing but make the game unfun and boring all around. Any chance to remove it and go back to the old system? I am pretty tired of getting put on baby sitting duty. It has been like... what... 6 months? Don't know anyone who consistently plays DBD that enjoys it. I have over 7k hours and have zero interest in babysitting other players while the killer destroys everyone because the killer likely has over 1k hours with 4 gen slowdown perks.
Remove SBMM please.

I agree. Solo queue is hell

Solo Q is literally hell, SBMM doesn't help at all.

SBMM for solo queue is backwards as hell. Die because your teammates are potatoes and don't save you and the game rewards you with worse teammates. No, man, escaping or dying is not what matters, what matters is what you do during the match. Do you pull your weight or do you crouch around the edges like a useless lump? Doing gens, making saves, taking aggro, that's what matters. Escaping really doesn't matter at all, and basing survivor MMR on that sucks.
I recently had a match where two survivors refused to do anything. The match went on forever because they wouldn't touch gens even though the killer was busy chasing me and my friend. What the hell, man. The killer disconnected after they finally killed me, so my MMR went down and everyone else got 5k points for escaping because two survivors were completely useless.
I'm so tired of my teammates. I want bots, dammit. Bots would do gens.

Why are you assuming that if you die you are getting matched against better killers? If your MMR goes down then it will try and match you against lower MMR killers, not higher MMR ones.
It’s probably not the MMR that’s wrong, it’s that you’re getting put into first available slots because either you were in queue too long or someone left a lobby and it grabbed the next available player to fill the slot.
And I like the MMR system better than the old system, especially at rank reset week because in the old system it was total nonsense matches since everybody’s ranks went down.

I might be the only one that has better experience with solo q than pre sbmm. Not perfect but better.

Maybe because I've seen it happen hundreds of times? I get a team mate with 5 hours, I play the match out, see the killer has ruin/pop/corrupt, match is over for me, killer has 500-1000 hours. Meanwhile, my team mates with 10 hours each are sitting in bushes.
MMR is 100% what is wrong. Never got survivors with less than 10 hours on the old system even if I was sitting at rank 10. When rank reset shot everyone back to rank 10 no matter what is when matchmaking was at it's best.

Again, you dying isn’t what’s putting you against high rated killers. Your rating goes down if you die so the average rating it tries initially to match you against goes down as well. Like I said, what you’re describing can easily happen if there’s nobody your rating to pair with and/or someone in a lobby leaves it and the system throws in a replacement asap. It’s not your MMR that’s necessarily causing it because these thing would happen even if your MMR was 100% accurate. It’s more to do with how long the system waits before filling a slot with next available people and you possibly being an outlier in the ratings.
