Campers from hook 1 are bad for this game

Is amazing how much people is face camping now. I just got 5 face campers in a row. 2 Leatherfaces, 1 huntress, 1 legion and 1 trapper.

They just ruin the game for everyone and I don't understand how they can even enjoy the game just standing there.

If you camp the first hook you will lose 4 gens, this is not a strategy that will get you anything.

If only this was true :(

Survivors throw entire games just to save someone.

It's also funny that Survivors will see a Killer camp, stand around NOT doing gens, go for a save they literally can't get, and then scream that camping somehow magically gets 4Ks.

All while ignoring every second of participation they had in feeding that camping Killer his 4K.

That's because it's more fun than gen simulator and run out the gates

At almost 5 years in this game, I prefer to play and help my teammates. Not to just "win" every match.

So, sure it often leads to 4ks, because the chances of pulling a successful rescue in this situation, is more thrilling then the tactics to counter it.

Unless one cares more about an individual escape then.

    Which I don't anymore.

And that is exactly what should happen.

Nerf to face-camping and tunneling-off-hook, with a simultaneous nerf to gen speeds. No new perks to Band-Aid-fix the problem.

I think a 5 second "Sprint Burst" from hook would be an excellent way to fix the tunneling-off-hook. Maybe some type of Borrowed-Time effect mixed in for Face-Camping.

I agree 100%. But I do think that would require a lot of work. On the other hand, BHVR has had lots of time for that by now. I still have hopes that the game will see these balance changes some day. But I am not that optimistic anymore.

For real - what should you do as killer?

If you get looped you realize quickly if the survs are too good for you. Should you try to catch one the whole game?

    No, you switch.

And if by accident you down somebody you can also stay at the hook and try to get maybe 1k.

And even that is very uncertain unless you play Bubba who actually can punish bad unhooking.

Sadly many people who complain have never played killer against a too good team. Getting destoryed as killer is equally unfun.

Won't happen. It needs to happen, but won't.

Survivors will riot if gen speeds are touched. Even if camping & tunneling, and genspeeds, are all nerfed in the same patch; Survivors will scream for the gen speeds to be reversed. I guarantee there will be screams of 'Unplayable' and 'Whiny Killers ruined the game'.

Yes, some Killers will do the same. But just from having been in various DBD communities over the years; I've seen far more Killers admit camping & tunneling are boring (but they work), and admit that 'Gen speeds made me camp/tunnel to have a hope of winning', then I have seen Survivors admit that gen speeds go fast.

Usually, any comment of gen speeds is met with 'git gud' and 'stop whining' and 'pressure gens!'
