Wraith is wee bit underpowered after his nerf
ehh devs what are you guys doing!
Why did you guys nerfed a killer that wasn't even remotely overpowered
I was happy to see wraith able to somehow compete at mid mmr.
Devs please stop ruining this game for killers
Killer players are humans and we cant take more nerfs anymore.

He was a wee bit op tho, stop capping

He wasnt OP, survivors are just bad or lazy in general and dont want to loop killers differently
That being said, as a somewhat Bing Bong main back then, I'm glad he got nerfed. All the Freddy players jumped to Wraith and his playstyle got real old, real fast.
I didnt even mind being the 1st one tunneled because I kinda just stopped caring against that guy.

The fact that survs thought a killer with no chase power was OP simply because they had to use their heads to avoid getting caught in the open instead of just holding w is laughable.

The lunge nerf hurts him a lot more than I realized at first. I played a few games with him after the nerf and didn’t notice much difference, then I played some more games and really started to feel it. Although I do wonder how much he struggles with that now vs. how much he struggles with that combined with the introduction of COH (eg. what would wraith’s performance be like now if COH didn’t exist?).
I actually agree with the all-seeing nerf though.

Tell me you are a survivor main without saying you are one.
Here whe have a clear example of someone who knows nothing about whatOP means.
Agree, wraiths nerf was as dumb and ridiculous as slinger nerf, unedded and uncalled for, both when to the bottom of the barrel with those changes, and the slight strenghts they had went down the drain, mostly dew to complains on survivor mains who if cant loop someone as every other killer star screaming OP everywhere

It's almost as if killer baseline powers need to stop being nerfed or buff-then-nerf in rubberband, knee jerk, reactionary responses. The killers end up feeling awful and the players have to re-learn the whole control scheme on the fly, unlearning muscle memory just because survivors can't be asked to modify their default behaviors from one game to the next.

Don't you know what sarcasm is?

honestly I stopped playing right before that patch launched so I didn't even know that they nerfed him but why did they nerf his lunge? his base kit was great probably one of the most balanced in the game, he had some stupid addons that needed toning down but that was it. Welp like always bhvr sees a problem and goes in a completely stupid way of trying and failing to fix said problem

Almo probably went against a wraith, died too fast, and nerfed him

This actually does make me curious what data or testing they did to reach the conclusion that Wraith’s lunge was too long? I’m assuming it’s not an arbitrary decision, because hypothetically if Wraith had too high a kill rate there are numerous ways to tweak him, but this lunge nerf is very specifically targeted at the lunge. So they must have had something behind the scenes they looked at which told them the lunge seemed to be too long.
I’m really curious about how that process actually works, like what data do they even look at? Do they survey a whole bunch of Wraith matches and track how often the lunges hit and compare it to normal lunge attack hits? Do they compare Wraith lunge hit percentages to other special attack hit percentages? Was Wraith actually a higher than normal kill ratio killer overall prior to the change and where does he land now? Just the data guy part of me is honestly interested in how that review process worked exactly, it’d make for an interesting read maybe.
