Can you get banned by sparing last survivor?

I have this doubt, last game i catched last guy and thought on letting him run instead of hanging but i prefered to sacrifice him coz idk if i can get banned.

Any answer?

I don't think it's a bannable offense to offer the hatch/the Exit Gates to the last Survivor (or them all). I don't know where to find it, but there a page on the website where you can find the bannable offenses. (May I summon you, @MandyTalk?)

    No.

I highly doubt there is time to ban something like that when there are so many unbanned hackers on the loose.

No, you won’t get banned for it.

Some killers let the last survivor go all the time. It’s just a part of the game and there’s nothing wrong with doing it.

    No.

I routinely let the last person go, sometimes even the last pair if they've been particularly fun or got screwed over by a DC and still stuck it out.

    I've never even be warned.

It feels...right. The final girl and sometimes the final pair get away at the end of the movie.

On the other hand - BM me and everyone dies.

No, but people will report you for "teaming".

I wish I was joking about that.

    Dont worry, you're fine

No you cannot be banned for sparing a survivor as long as you're not actively working with that survivor to get the other survivors killed.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules - the game rules can be found here, and any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Edited to add the link the game rules, cos I pressed send too fast!

Sparing the last survivor is fine. Seeing the remaining two survivors, going "I like this Dwight, I'm going to find Meg instead" and ignoring Dwight to kill Meg and give Dwight hatch is fine. Seeing the remaining two survivors, going "I like this Dwight, I'm going to get him to use his aura reading to find Meg for me so I can kill her and let him go" is where it's an illegal move.

What really got under my skin was a team that basically came with a setup and an offering that allowed them to hold the game hostage, and then they adamantly informed me in postgame that I'd be reported for 'non-participation' because I didn't just DC.

In an "unwinnable" game state for Survivors, what is your opinion on diplomacy? Like, "were all gonna die, so I'll open the locker where this Claudette that never got chased is hiding in the Hope's that the killer gives me the hatch"?

I've had Ghosts that deny me my 4th BBQ stack, but in that scenario am I in the wrong for claiming that 4th BBQ stack and just accepting the 3k?

In normal gameplay though I'd just hook the rat because I cant tolerate sandbaggers and I dont want to win from that.

If you can get banned for sparing a survivor a lot of killers would be banned right now including some fog whisperer even potentially.

I'd like to know the answer to this too. I'm never quite sure what to do when a survivor snitches of their own accord (I'll just be dumbly trailing after someone gesturing "follow me" and they'll lead me to a teammate), and I tend to kill the snitch or let them both go because I don't know how to proceed at that point.
