Two Survivor Strategies That I Have No Idea How To Counter.
Without running niche, gimmicky perks just in case someone uses it. Wondering if some veteran killers have any solutions.
- Some maps, particularly Eyrie, RPD, Pantry, Badham and sometimes Midwich have hook spawns that create a situation where there is only 1 viable hook in an area of the map. SWFs/duos run a sabo build and basically have someone run to this area the second they are injured, and keep that hook sabo'd. This means that unless I'm running Agitation, it's either literally impossible to hook someone from that location or extremely difficult and easily preventable with even a small amount of bodyblocking. They'll typically set up a boon in this area too.
- Since that Tru3 video, a lot of survivor duos will run flashlights and immediately head to a dual locker when in danger. Unless I'm running Lightborn, this seems to make both 100% safe as no matter which locker I open, the other can immediately blind me during the animation. This not only allows basically any chase to be safely escaped, but also allows them to stall out the game for ages until their flashlights are drained.

The thing is - this isn't being done in isolation. Whenever I chase someone, they run to the 'safe zone'. They lose time, but it becomes a situation where it's nearly impossible to apply pressure or even end the game if they want to stall things out.
The worst one was a recent 4man on Eyrie who kept an Exponential/COH/Overcome boon at the 'rear' of the map, where there's only one viable hook. They 99'd the last gen and basically just sat there, keeping the hook sabo'd and bodyblocking/healing.

For the first one just leave the survivor slugged. Especially if you see the other one saboing.
Not getting a hookstate sucks but in the end it's still a survivor not being able to so anything and still a survivor having to come get them. If you start chasing the saboteur that's 3 survivors not on gens. That's not bad pressure even without the hook
If you have trouble with boons in certain maps i suggest playing some survivor games with small game on that map and focusing solely on finding the totems so you get a feel for where they spawn.
Especially if you can do it in kyf with a friend. Couple of games of seeing how fast you can find all the totems and boons become a lot less of a problem
For the second problem the best i can say is ignore them untill they are the last ones left and let them run out their flashlights.
Unless you brought a perk or killer that can specifically counter this like Legion or trapper i also wouldn't know how to effectively deal with it

That depends on how early you notice it happening
If it's early game then get the down (or see the first Survivor enter the locker) and look for the other survivor
If it's late game then get the down (or see the first Survivor enter the locker) then half ass look for the other survivor
If Boons are in play then snuff them out
I'll be honest and say that I don't know what I'd do in those situations... they sounds way to specific for me
But if it's happing a lot then run different perks.... Why run the "meta"

I figured out after 5pm PST the sabo squads come out in force. Every time I do not run BBQ, Iron Grasp, Agitation, Starstruck I regret it.
When I do... I smash them to pieces. This obviously requires you to challenge yourself with no gen slowdown but once you get that first down you get to choose where to hook. I usually carry right into the area they are working gens on. That slows them down if they hide and if they challenge you they go down fast. You actually feel like a killer.
Edit: This only works if you can down survivors fast and understand mind games and the chase mechanics. If those fundamentals are lacking you will need slowdown perks.

Probably a matter of the time of day. Weekday mornings tend to have a lot of premades with Spanish, Portugeuse, Kanji or Russian names that tend to do this stuff a lot.
It could also be my specific MMR bracket.
Because it's not every game. It's...maybe 1 in 15-20. But when it happens its bloody frustrating, because it feels like there isn't much I can really do, especially when they want to stall the game out.
The issue is that I don't really want to take one specific loadout just in case I run into this.
That's basically what I do. The problem is that it starts to feel like I'm digging holes in water.
I down someone, and they get popped back up again or I have to stand over them and smack them down. I cleanse the boon spot and the second I'm chasing someone, it gets blessed again.
It's not uncounter-able, it's just really, really annoying.

There is no counter for this despite what everyone says. This is a broken 4 man swf who came in to bully the killer and control everything in the match. You can't hook them, if you slug them they get picked up immediately, if you chase someone they know how to abuse broken loops on maps.
I play Myers and when I run into this where I can't hook anyone I slug 1 person and stand over there slugged body with tier 3 ready. Anyone comes close they go down, they can watch there teammate bleed out on the floor. No cheesey busted 4 man escape for you guys.

Myers I can at least instadown them, and slug multiple people.
Wraith and Pig...oh man this was rough. I ended up having to AFK on two occasions because it was that or get memed on for 45 minutes.

For the sabo, do a sweep of the area or slug. You could also use that one offering that closes the hook distance if you have it. Sabo sucks in the fact that you put yourself at more risk doing it rather than a flashlight save which doesn't require as much set-up. You also have to be close enough to pull it off. If they're injured they probably won't go for the sabo. If they do then drop the survivor as they run towards the hook and now they're screwed. If they hump some random corner of the map then leaving them there actually hurts the team more because they have to go really far out of the way to get that person up.
The locker thing. I personally don't see survivors use it often. BUT insta-down killers or just lightborn fix that for the most part. You can try downing survivors before they reach the locker or chasing away the savior. With double lockers they wont have enough time to jump out and get a save. So try to bait that out.

1. Sabo squads can be really annoying but it's possible to deal with them without building around it. The first step is to quickly identify what's happening and adapt. The worst thing we can do is try to brute force it when they're coordinating sabos.
You can usually bait out the main sabo player by picking a survivor up and immediately dropping them. Now you know who the main sabo player is and can focus on them while you have a slug. If he runs to a dead hook zone you'll have a quick and easy down more often than not. Now you can slug him and find where the previous survivor is resetting. This is gradually drawing the entire team to the same area. They'll have to run to hooks or get snowballed clustered together. The boon obviously complicates things, but you'll have to snuff it. And obviously the strat will only go as far as your ability to down them quickly.
2. Same principle as baiting out a sabo player. Be patient. Swing your weapon at the locker. Feather your killer power. Remember that it's not the end of the match if it does happen. I do think the locker animation needs to change in order to allow killers to move their head.
Either way, my advice to every killer is to stay composed and make survivors play a clean game through 5 gens and endgame, whatever it is they're trying to do.

Situation 1 slug them, they still have to be picked up putting pressure on the rest and you may catch someone going there and down them too.
Situation 2 there isnt much you can do, try to bait the save, try to chase other Survivors or try to focus on gens situated far away from where those lockers are located (I believe not all lockers allow for those kind of saves but not sure).
Both things should be tweaked, especially the hook thing since certain maps do not have enough hooks in certain spots (Badham is a huge offender, if someone gets downed in the middle of the boiler room and the basement didnt spawn there you have to break the doors to be able to reach a hook).

Honestly Agitation is a pretty good perk all on its own. But if you want to combo it without going full meme, get Pain Resonance from Artist.
Killer wise, your best counters are probably insta down killers, Blight, Legion, and maybe Plague. Insta down to not give them the chance to get to the safe zone, Blight to 2 tap them before they can retreat, Plague to make recovering with CoH impossible, and Legion can get injuries plus Deep Wound so fast that they can actually win a war of attrition vs CoH.

- I know you don't wan't niche perks, but Forced Penance is great versus people who bodyblock- it's actually very common in tournaments. Mad Grit is also good for that. You could also run a perk like Starstruck to discourage them or Infectious Fright. Otherwise, you could slug. (Along with this, Boons can be snuffed, and Sabos don't last forever. They're limited by Toolbox charges or Saboteur's 60 second cooldown.) Besides, you can just... ignore that area. Make sure it's not the last place with gens and put pressure somewhere else. At least in my experience, a lot of teams who pull that kind of strat fall apart pretty fast.
- I play mostly survivor, but locker blinds usually depend on location. And like everyone else said... you can just ignore them. If they're messing around with lockers, they're not helping the team.

Standard sabos are fine. I actually welcome it - it's something that has play and counterplay, and at least they aren't slamming out gens.
It's when there's one hook in a pretty large region of a map, and they basically just keep it sabo'd to create a deadzone. Either I have to try to defend that hook constantly (which is really silly) or it's going to be a frustrating game.
Regarding the locker - I tried this and it turns into a standoff, while everyone else does gens. It's especially annoying when they are doing it for no other reason than to stall out the match for another 10 minutes.
Yeah, I think I'm intermediate-high intermediate these days, and it's the complete reverse.
Weekday mornings - I play Hag or Demo (the two killers I'm best on) will full meta loadouts and the best addons I can muster, and I still have to fight for the 2k a lot of the time.
Weekday nights tend to be a lot better.
Hmm. Try playing at different times of day. I'm not sure. In the last month, I've seen maybe 4 of these TTV bully squads and they tend to stick in your mind.
They aren't common - but that's the thing. Eventually, once more people figure it out, they'll become common. The DDS 'you can't reach me' spot was pretty uncommon, then it started to be used all the time.
The double locker thing was basically unheard of until a popular streamer did a semi-viral video on it, now I'm seeing it almost daily.

How the hell are Lightborn and Agitation gimmicks? Bruh, your build is trash if you aren't including these perks. Outdated boomer builds are a thing of the past. You need VALUE.

for #2, they kinda are doing something. I've done double locker saves right next to a gen w someone before and the killer either sits there and sloowwwly drains our flashlight or leaves. we weren't "not doing anything," we were just hopping back and forth between the lockers and the gen and were able to do that twice in a game because of some friendly RNG, giving us 2 free gens. pretty much nothing he could've done at all, we had a purp flashlight with streetwise and double battery.
this can be replicated somewhat consistently too, especially on some maps with lockers and/or gens that always spawn. its not some once in a blue moon thing.
that advice doesn't always apply. dub lockers saves are fun but they can be extremely abusable.
