Not Finding Matches as Survivor
My friend and I have tried playing as Survivor for quite a bit of time to no avail to finding a match. Friend hopped in to playing as the Killer on a separate match to try, and found one within seconds.
I don't know if it's just late, and no one wants to play Killer, or there's an issue somewhere. I'm looking for one as I typed this, but I will exit, then reopen the game.
We just started playing, so I don't think that would have to effect anything.
P.S. The party privacy is set to public.

The queue times as survivor are long from 8 pm to 2 am. It’s the same for everyone

Dang, thank you for the reply

It's because late nights tend to have more 4man swfs. And most killers don't want to get bullied so they stop playing.
I'd suggest if you get a match, and you win, don't harass the killer. Give him or her a gg and words of encouragement.
God bless killers that play late. Bless them.

Two major factors: the state of the game and developmental 'vision' is causing some killers to quit/switch, and time of day can heavily influence when people are playing with friends or alone, e.g. SWF or killer.

Ah, I suspected something like the Killer wasn't being played much. Thank you guys for the response, greatly appreciated.
I just wanted to try out something different with a friend.

I've found that it depends on the time of day, but generally my survivor queues range from 2 minutes to almost 20. Watching Otz and co, this seems to be about the norm.
My killer queues range from maybe 10 seconds to 2 minutes at most, and that's very early morning.
Weirdly, I see way more swfs in the early-mid morning, especially weekdays.
That said - yes, absolutely. Be nicer to killers (and yes, this also applies to mean killer players who abuse survivors, but I see that a lot less). Don't teabag, don't flicky flicky, don't gloat in postgame. This is stuff that definitely makes people not want to play.

Tea bagging isn't a huge deal per say. It's the spamming I hate. If a survivor teabags I mostly ignore it. It's at the exit gates spamming when I get reckt is when it feels kinda bad

It's because it's pure gloating.
Doing it mid chase is sort of a flex, and it runs a bit of a risk.
There's no risk doing it once you've already won - all you are doing is rubbing salt in the wounds and probably making someone go back to Blight or Nurse, or just log off for the day.

I do not need blessing, I do it for the queue times, fam. It is my only choice. Rofl.

Yeah. Pretty much. Had a david teabagging and clicking at the exit gate just now as nurse on Ormond.
Even Ormond is hard for nurse. To big to get around

I find most of the time if I queue in as killer after 11PM matches just get so dripping with survivor sweat I have more fun switching sides and just enduring the longer queue time so I can browse the forums before and during matches.

I used to hate Ormond.
Now, after getting RPD into Haddonfield into Haddonfield into Eyrie into Haddonfield into Badham, I almost cheer when I get it.

In my opinion, its just more fun/relaxing to play survivor. There is nothing better than the feeling of getting a 4 k as killer but is far easier and inciting to play as survivor. SWF just makes killer games far too stressful to play during a time when everyone is playing SWF.
For the longest time I always thought the killer should get some kind of bonus/information when playing against a SWF. Even if this bonus only applies to the SWF survivors. But hell I doubt they would ever do something like that.

SWFs don't usually bother me unless they are straight up bully squads looking to make your game miserable, either via macros, deliberately annoying builds/offerings or stalling the game out for ages.
It's more the general nastiness of so many survivors that gets under my skin after a while and results in me taking a break.

Killer is miserable rn, midchapter needs some Survivor nerfs

As long as this stays as the norm you'll continue to see queue times skyrocket.
