Is there any Dead Hard script or hack being largely used lately?

Been back to this game this week, and I've noticed something rather weird...

Survivors are not dead harding as they used to when I get close to them, at least not all of them, roughly 5-10% of my encounters with DH users they used it EXACTLY at the same moment I got a hit you know, they bleed, they scream, but DH invalidates my hit somehow, even though I CLEARLY got the hit.

This is often very frustrating, it ends up prolonging chases or maybe leading me to lose the chase completely, unless I were to tunnel that survivor until the ends of the map.

I'm asking this as well, because some of the players who used this also had very high pings, 200ms+ for instance, so that's what actually made me doubt the legitimacy of this.

Is there any ingame explanation as to why survivors are being able to avoid hits already dealt to them, or is this really a cheat or something of the sorts? I'd really like to hear some explanation on this, not the typical ''git gud'' some survivor mains usually spit out.

    There is a hack.

But you can also react to lunges.

If it's a base swing with no lunge the killer usually walks up behind waits 2 seconds then swings.

So cheats, reaction and likely guesses are all factors. I just hate how it's used for distance and I see it 3+times a match

Mind you, I have no deeper knowledge of hacks, but there is supposedly one that automatically activates DH just before you are hit. Of course this could also be just salty propaganda of killers who felt betrayed of an honest down, but eh, it's not too hard to imagine, actually.

But if you got nerves of steel and are pretty perceptive, then you can actually react to the killer swinging, instead of going by feel. DH hit validation allowes now for such a feat, and its responsible for a lot of grieve. That being said, you can still bait out a lot of DHs by just walking close behind a survivor and wait a second or two too long.

I don't know how much an auto Dead Hard hack would even work tbh. The killer's lunge is faster and longer than a DH so you can basically guarantee to hit a survivor through a DH every time. The only time you can't guarantee a DH hit is if they Dead Hard for distance to a pallet or something which a hack would not do.

Honestly it's hard to know whether it exist or not people say it does. I do find it pretty weird how people are just toughing out my Blight fake rushes to bait a dead hard and I just go "Are you kidding me? The balls on this guy" and just dodge my actual rush afterwards.

Are you late to the party because that's why Deadbhard validation is strong right now. It forces you to go on a lunge miss cooldown. It especially hurt killers with powers that supposed to keep going like Blight rush attack, Pig ambush, Victor to a free kick in the head instead of continuing the momentum and being safe

That still doesn't change the fact that a killer lunge is longer than a Dead Hard. The way the validation works is that you would have missed that hit anyway, the server is determining that you actually missed the hit and the survivor is farther away than you think because you and the server are not synced up. Survivors had to deal with getting hit through Dead Hards for like 4 years and now it's finally fair because the server judges it.

Are you ignoring what I said? It stops killer lunge momentum when it should be going hence the lunge going through a dead hard is nigh impossible to pull off now. Also stop bringing your woe is me pity party. That's not what this is about.

It exist but i dont think many would use it since its stronger for gaining distance.

If it's the server judging it and is completely fair, why is it every single killer match, my survivors get validated? It favors the survivors. It can't be me having a bad connection every time. It just can't.

Mine and thousands of others apparently. Never the game's fault, of course.

I have this dead hard validation problem in almost every game at least once or twice.

My ping to the sever is mostly below 20ms with a 1 Gigabit internet connection.

So surely the cause must be something else.

Most likely a non functioning or buggy hit validation.

The problem with DH seems to be something like: even though you’re hitting on your screen, you are not. So it forces the killer into cooldown even though the lunge or killer power is not completely used up. Demo lunges, pig dashes are stopped. Neme whips have no effect even though there are other potential hits like a pallet. The m1 lunges are stopped short.

I can't comment on the spread but yes a hack like that exists.

I used to always try to bait survivor into using DH early, or keep going until I'm to close for them to react to a quick swing anyway, guess that makes no difference now...

A hack like that does exist.

If you suspect it you can screw those people over by forcing them to dead hard past a pallet or into a window so they lose their fast vault if you time your swing correctly.

Hard to pull off but it is satisfying to use peoples hacks against them.

Still bs people can get away with things like this.

The hack does exist, unless it's been patched in the last two months. It's not very common in my experience. I'm positive I've encountered it no more than 3 times.

With that being said, it has not to be confused with validation. The visual and audio fx of a hit will always play out if the Killer clients detects a hit, but the server has the last word and it will roll back if the hit invalidated. This happens legitimately without hacks involved.

Dead Hard is a problematic perk that needs a complete rework.

No it's because his Internet IS great. Although we were told it would favour the better connection, in practice hit validation favours the worse connection.
