Why does otz love hag?
I don't get it. She sucks so bad. Against a team she's useless bc she's to slow. Any survivor knows to simply pop her traps and shift w, and for some God awful reason the devs thought it was a good idea to be able to destroy her traps with flashlights. So dumb. It's literally all she can do that's good. Why counter? She can't chase.
Ever try using a basement hag? Two survivors can just yolo save. One can pop her proximity traps while the other is distracting her, trade hook using borrowed. And the other can simply bodyblock the hurt survivor and the free rocket boost makes so much distance on hag they will get away.
You can trade hook her easily and just do gens.
She's to slow to chase. Any team or multiple survivors in pairs can destroy her. She has to many counters for the lack of chase speed to be worth it.
I cant seem to understand how she's useful. You can trade hooks sure, but if the others just do gens and trade off hooks then once the gens are done just use your second chance perks to save and out the door you all go
Her lack of chase potential is what kills her. Borrowed, sburst, lithe, any of those will create so much distance at end game it's a free escape across the map.

She isn't as bad as people claim she is, she just has a really high skill ceiling imo. Also she has some pretty busted addons.

You lost me when you criticized her for being bad in chase. She's not a chasing killer. If you're chasing with Hag then you're playing her wrong. She catches survivors in her web of traps.

she is a noob stomper that also has a high skill ceiling. Watch some gameplay of good hags and it can be super hard to face her without comp-level communication. Some killers take more practice than others.

No duh. That's the point. She can't chase. She's defensive only. Meaning any speed perks survivors use guarantees an escape bc she's so slow.
With that info, you can literally use borrowed and both leave with the free speed boosts you get.

Speed perks. What speed perks? Sprint burst? That'll only get you so far if an effective Hag catches you in her web. You can sprint burst your way into another trap or traps and get hit or go down.
I've never seen a competent Hag struggle against sprint burst. Or BT for that matter. If you're hooked in her web then you're going to set foot in more than one trap.

Why dont you ask him or watch one of many videos where he talks about her for several minutes?
Oh right, you dont actually want to know, just making a thread on forums

I mean I don't play hag because she's too easy.
Pick your 4 gen you wanna control and trap every choke point and it's generally GG unless they actively try to make all your traps go off as your hooking someone which nobody does.

FYI OhTofu also rates Hag as high A tier on his new tier list this week. Otz isn’t the only big streamer who really likes Hag.
Like others said above, if you’re doing extended basic chases with Hag you’re playing her wrong. I highly recommend watching Michi play Hag or his extended Hag guide. There’s a lot of subtlety in placing the traps and knowing when to teleport and not to teleport and when to teleport immediately versus delay it a bit. You can do ok against average players placing traps haphazardly and spamming teleport, but the best Hags use more sophisticated techniques to help them beat swfs and players with flashlights, etc. Things like chain traps together so one goes off and then you get the hit on the second one, using the camera force of the trap to throw a runner off course, using traps to zone survivors out of pallets, delaying teleporting to correctly time a Make Your Choice hit on a rescue, having a sense of when people are watching you so you can put down a decoy when they’re looking and a more hidden trap when they’re not, and so on.
Hag basically has a surprisingly high skill ceiling, using her traps optimally takes a lot of game knowledge and awareness of what the survivors are doing or likely going to do. It’s that skill ceiling that gets her toward the top of Otz’s and OhTofu’s lists. (OhTofu put her at the top of A tier, not in S tier with Nurse and Blight, mainly because the current Circle of Healing meta weakened her slightly. If that weren’t a factor I think he’d have put her in S tier.)

Hag is far and away my most successful killer. She can be bullied at high MMR, however.
Few tips:
1.) Never, ever EVER run the addons that increase the traps trigger range. That opens the door for you to be bullied. That should come with a +BloodPoint bonus like all meme perks.
2.) A few perks synergize ridiculously well with Hag. These three are always on my sweaty Hag builds.
A.) Monitor and Abuse. This actually gives Hag chase potential. Being the smallest killer + having a smaller terror radius than most even more greatly reduced, you can sometimes get next to a survivor before they even react - and even grab them on indoor maps from around a corner, since survivors hear your terror radius and may assume you're still a ways off.
B.) Make your Choice. Hag doesn't need to proxy camp hooks, your trap will do that for you. If they trip the trap and unhook, teleport and 1 shot the rescuer. They don't trip your trap? Guess what, you have time to run back since they're 95% likely to be crawling away or healing on the spot.
C.) Franklin's Demise. Boy are survivors salty when they bring a med kit or flashlight and can't use it to self-heal or troll. They'll do anything to get it back. Smack a survivor, don't chase, trap the fallen item. Savvy Survivors will figure it out quickly, but nonetheless, the time they'll waste circling back for the item, crawling over your trap to get it, and crawling back away - each hit - wastes more time than Ruin or Pop ever does. Best game slowing perk in DBD when used by Hag.
D.) I usually just run BBQ for the Bloodpoints, but it doesn't synergize too well with anything else. Does give you an idea what gen folks are working on and where to start trapping next... but if I really wanna go full sweaty, I'd probably pick Ruin or Pop.

Hag is overrated by Otz and others who say she is S or A tier..rather B or even C. A bit outdated. But against most solos who just do gens at start and have no survivor running to check who the killer is, then they are in big trouble letting Hag set up her net. So against solos one of the best killers.

She used to be top tier, but sadly with more knowledgeable survivors, she drops alot in tier.

Corrupt is good to give you time to set your web. Agitation is also good to carry survivor to basement or your web.

I can see people thinking Hag isn't S or maybe even A tier but to say she sucks just shows how little you know about her. I wish people would stop assuming that just because they personally aren't good with a killer, it doesn't mean that killer sucks

I have avoided playing her since CoH but I feel like that perk would make playing as her pretty awful. I don't even need to play a game of it to know exactly how it would go against a good team; the survivors grinding down the hags 3 gen with unlimited fast healing set up nearby.
Barring a survivor wandering too far into the web by luck, she really does rely on getting a down by injuring multiple people and keeping them injured until someone steps on a second trap and she finally gets a down to camp. I doubt it would be any fun to play her right now unless you had some rusty shackles on hand.

She has a chance to be strong.
