I wanna be a team player so bad!! but playing solo I feel like DS is a must

I noticed that when I am a team player and I bring in perks that help out my team I'm almost always screwed by them and bringing perks like DS or unbreakable would have saved me this is kind of a vent lol because I almost always play solo

Solo play for survivor just isn't that much fun, at least for me.

Believe it or not but you could run

    Dead hard/borrowed time/ decisive strike/ and kindred

    Really wild right

I'm just saying that's the build I see on every survivor in my games so it must be good if everyone's rocking it

Maybe if I wasn't always playing slinger they would last longer then 30 secs in a chase

I play solo 99% of the time and don't use DS ever and I do alright. I swear I use to run DS and wouldn't get tunneled so I was a waste then I stopped using it and got tunneled like 5 games straight. I also like to be a team player and it can bite you in the butt.

My personal build is DH,CoH,kindred, WGLF. I escape more than 50% in my matches so it works for me.

I think circle of healing+shadow step synergies real well both providing your team with a safe place to heal and saving them from aura reading perks then I use spine chill and dead hard I think I get more bang for my buck on this build as a solo player but if I was with a team I'd switch out shadow step with BT

Depends how many matches were there where you needed DS? In my case I think DS is garbage at high MMR. You get slugged on the ground if the killer knows you're a competent survivor.

I've been trying to mix up the build I use which is just the meta build, DS,DH,BT and Kindred. Kindred being solo meta. I've been running Windows lately to great success in extending chases very long. Also been trying out CoH but don't play survivor enough to know all the totem locations. Still using kindred. Last slot is for DH still. I just try not to be the person unhooking someone at end game and hope killer respects DS.

I like running Botanical knowledge, Prove thyself, iron will, resilient and bring a med kit. I play as a mix of battle medic and genjockey depending on the situation. It can make for some fun chases and saves when you get the hang of it. Sometimes I swap Resilient with self aware or urban evasion depending how I feel.

I escape as often as I don't so whatever mmr it put me in its not the worst. Can't complain about that.

Learning to circle around a killer is also pretty powerful. You can waste their time by baiting swings in front of them and even lose them with iron will+UE or SA.

It feels pretty good to spin a killer and disappear three meters away. Let's you be altruistic. Plus if you play enough you'll likely get 20-25k bp at least on average if you die, 25k-30k if you escape.

Spinning of course is hard, and can be outplayed. So practicing this can result in plenty of one hooks. Focus on bp for the first while. It helps make the repeated hanging easier when you outscore the three who escaped.
