I'm going to be honest with you, you can't stop racism
Whether you remove Bubba's masks because they use it as a 'tool' will not stop it. Actually, it will make them even more aggravated and they'll do it more often now than before. They'll kill all the coloured people while they let the white survivors live, doesn't matter what killer they play or if they are a survivor they troll coloured people for their sick amusement.
You kicked the hornet nest, and now their blood is in your hands. That's the truth.

nobody is saying it will and nobody ever said it has jesus christ

Okay, what racist ######### do in retaliation is in no way BHVR's fault.
I don't agree with this decision and I don't think it was the right way to fix the issue of rabid racists in the community, but this is just an absolutely horrendous take. Please stop.
3 -
Agreed. It's ridiculous that they are removing the masks.
2 -
You can't but it's a step in the right direction.
They need to also look into the ability to Camp and Tunnel target 1 single survivor for it to actually make a difference.

What hornet's nest? Are there going to be racist hornets wearing Klan robes?
Yes racist people can still tunnel or camp. But the difference is that it won't be as obviously due to racism. It makes it harder to spread their hate.

You can stop racism... but removing in game content is not the answer. Giving players due diligence in a timely manner and reinforcing the rules would be the way to do that.

Bubba avatar.
Calling people of color.... 'coloured people'
"Their blood is in your hands"
I have all the feeling in the world that you were one of the types of people doing this sort of thing because you certainly talk that way.
6 -
This is some sort of Illuminati stuff you just pulled, lol
1 -
So because you can't "stop" something means you should allow it to continue and continue to provide the tools for people to carry out this abhorrent behaviour? I really don't think so.
8 -
please stop, at this point you're just pouring gasoline everywhere

Oh my god, all these bubba face threads are different versions of the same damned thing.

It´s good to know that victim mentality in 2022 helps you go places. Don´t like certain cosmetics? The race card will help you!
Coming soon: Detective Tapp´s BLM t-shirt.

Aren't there tools in place to prevent this type of behavior from reoccurring?

That's another one off the checklist

Removing masks from Letherface isn't really a solution. The report system needs an improvent and also your team will need to hire more people for customer support and finally start banning people for racism/homophobia/death wishing/threaths etc. The current one is awfully functioning. Even with proof the perpetrators are still able to play a game.
3 -
The report system needs to function, that would be a huge improvement.
5 -
You should have taken other measures, such as strengthening reporting functions. Delete mask cosmetics is just a lazy way. What would you do then if racist people abused Claudette or Adam characters to engage in racist acts? Are you going to delete them just like you deleted Bubba's masks?
2 -
You would think there were such tools in place, but sadly the reporting system that BHVR uses leaves a heck of a lot to be desired.
Maybe if they'd actually invested in a real reporting and punishment system in the first place, such things would be better handled and dealt with. As it stands, it's the path of least resistance with them as always: remove the cosmetics.

Yeah, delicious irony here... Mandy has already said that racial harassment is impossible to stop. So that answered my question.

This is what I was thinking as well.

And streamers can't self moderate?
Someone is being racist on stream they turn it off? Like how the news has to regulate?
Can I be suspended for hateful or harassing content that viewers put on my stream?
You are responsible for ensuring that content that appears on your stream abides by our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If harassing or hateful content does appear on your stream, we expect that you take the necessary steps to mitigate this behavior and ensure that it does not occur again. We will not suspend broadcasters that we find to be acting in good-faith to remove abuse appearing from third parties and external sources, such as by using AutoMod, timeouts, and channel bans. Conversely, we encourage you to report users who attempt to put hateful or harassing content on your channel, as this will lead to a suspension of their Twitch account(s).

A lot of people telling on themselves today. I knew the DbD community was genuinely awful, but still.
1 -
Ah yes, removing content that many grinded for because 0.01% of players were racist with it is clearly the priority we have. Might as well remove pride charms since we're just assuming that tunnelling a specific person with a ''oppressed'' characteristic is down to hatred and not anything else.

"I'm going to be honest with you, you can't stop racism"
You say that like it's a reason to not try.
