Will you use buffed wake up in the near future?

Personally yes more gate open speed doesn't hurt

I might use it in my quest to get the Left For Dead achievement.

Otherwise, no. Would rather bring perks that help me reach that point in the trial.

I wouldn't even if it was 75%, the idea of a perk that opens exit gates faster is not even good on paper because needing to open them that fast is a rare scenario and you could've avoided needing to open them fast if you brought a better perk that actively helped the game.

A perk to save five seconds doesn't compare to perks that stuns the killer for five seconds, makes chases another thirty seconds longer for one down, or reduce gen times, etc. It just doesn't do enough by itself.

Unless Remember Me catches on. Then maybe. But super doubt. It'd be at most 36 seconds of gate time and Wake Up would reduce that to 27 seconds. Too niche. Too little impact on most trials.

It's the poor man's left behind key.

I would use it if I did not have a key and was going for a door-camp strategy by letting the killer find the hatch. Being the last person alive is not a rare scenario by any stretch in solo Q and it's basically one of the two or three perks that actually help you in that situation.

No, I won't. Want to know the speed increase? It's 4 seconds. That's it. 4 from 3. It does 1 thing and it's so small. You could give us a 5th perk slot and I'd still never run it.

If you stack it with resilience or spine chill you are lopping off some pretty significant numbers from the door. 8 seconds off a door? That's literally a guaranteed escape on so many maps if you just let the killer find the hatch.

I see Wake Up used a lot for when you just want to stand near a door when the hatch spawns, so i have a strong feeling ill actually see it a lot more probably solely for this purpose

It's 5.7 seconds. Even still, I'd just run vault build then with 2 other perks that actually help throughout the entire game.

Vault build is 15%, and wake up is another 25%. So 40% off 20 seconds is 8 seconds. Thats assuming you are injured at the gate and don't do the "tech" to get it to barely before the first light.

And you say "the entire match" which is really disingenuous in solo Q. I rarely have good balanced matches in this game, it's typically a stomp one way or the other. When survivors are stomping, you don't even need perks because you are just holding M1. When the killer is stomping, left behind or wake up are literally the only way you are going to escape in an overwhelming amount of situations.

So many solo Q games don't really even get played out because of suicides, people DCing, killer running a busted build, etc etc. Most perks in the game do nothing when you are going to die on your first down and your only option is waiting for hatch.

Maybe if the Wake Up bug returns.

It's been almost exactly two years, it's veryyyyyyyy suspicious.

I use it on some of my survivors. It's very rare I can make a mental note of where both gates are as survivor. So...I'll still use it for the aura reading, the gate opening is icing on the cake.

I already use it for fun so yeah I'll probably continue to use it whenever I feel like it.

Probably not. It doesn't seem like it would be worth a perk slot.

This will still be used only on tournament games and that's because they play perks only once...

It's usually combined with Adrenalin, where you just have one member to open gate fast for you.

I still won't use it. I've never seen anyone using it and I don't think I'll see it more after its buff.

Despite doing 5 gens being trivially easy, my solo teammates always seem to screw it up. That's why I don't run Adrenaline or Hope, because there's no guarantee (shockingly) that the gens get done. I like perks that I'm guaranteed to use like Dead Hard, Kindred, DS, etc.

Thats not how the math works in this scenario. You aren't cutting off 40% of the time it takes, you're doing it 40% faster. It takes 20s base to open. At 12 seconds you would have opened 12 + (12×.4) seconds of the 20 needed.

I wish it was 50% but I'll still give it a try.
