Nurse bug fixes
One big section on the PTB that wasn’t in the Developer update is a ton of Nurse bug fixes. I don’t play Nurse personally but I imagine Nurse mains might like this.
THE NURSE
Several issues affected the Nurse's power that required a large part of the code supporting her, especially the networking, to be re-done, which is what we did in this release. This allowed us to fix the following issues.
- Fixed an issue that rarely caused the Nurse not to be able to trigger a blink.
- Fixed an issue that may cause a blink started right when the charge is ready or when fatigue starts to be cancelled.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Nurse's vault to be slower than intended.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Nurse to go into fatigue after the stun when stunned during a chain blink. Now she will only go through the stun.
- Fixed an issue that may cause the Nurse to get stuck when blinking into a pallet dropped during the blink.
- Fixed an issue that may cause the Nurse's animations to briefly be static after interrupting a Survivor.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Nurse to be unable to blink through some hills.
- Fixed an issue that may cause the Nurse to sometimes fall out of world after blinking.
- Fixed an issue that may cause the Nurse to become stuck when a Survivor disconnects while being interrupted.
- Fixed an issue that made it possible for the Nurse to use the Return Blink ability during fatigue when equipped wit the Jenner's Last Breath add-on.
- Fixed an issue that caused the blink charge sound to be heard even if no charge is added after hitting a Survivor after a blink when using the Spasmodic Breath add-on.
- Fixed an issue that may cause the Nurse to be able to do a slash attack while charging a chain blink.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Nurse to be able to climb on chests and small assets after blinking.
- Fixed an issue that caused an overlapping between the winding SFX and the Fatigue State SFX when the Nurse is Stunned by a Pallet after a Blink.
- Fixed an issue that may cause the Nurse's hand not to appear for spectators cycling through spectated players during a blink.
- Fixed an issue that caused a stutter during the Nurse's post blink animation when turning the camera.

Really glad to see this, I'm not the biggest fan of Nurse but if she's here to stay - she might as well be as good as possible for those who love to play her.

Pretty much a full recode on her, a really large job...but one that was needed

But what are the nerfs? Lol. To be fair, my trust in you guys has been gone since the original Freddy nerfs.

Uh, a lot of the unintended "techs" that were never used because the add-ons required were awful have been removed, I guess that's a "nerf" for her if you really want one?
I probably won't play the PTB so all I can comment on is wording but it doesn't seem like she got any "nerfs", and the Bugfixes were actually more "buffs"

I'm eager to see if anyone will call these bugfixes a buff to nurse like people seem to presumptuously do with Dead Hard's "buff" (fix)

Just waiting for this whole list to just be a technicality when what they REALLY changed was removing nurse's ability to blink entirely.

There is no need to be rude, the intent is to fix the bugs, not to shift them around, of course I don't assume it's going to be perfect, but that's the reason why there's a PTB for it.

and here I was convinced that Nurse was intentionally left a buggy mess all this time to discourage people from playing her, to reduce the need to actually balance her.

Make sure to limber up before you hurt yourself with that stretch. They're moderators, chief, they need to follow procedure and reference material, and make sure it's referenced. Case in point to prevent people from jumping to conclusions like you just did.

Did they fix the issue on console where if you're on a map with any sort of basement, blinking in any close proximity of it will vacuum you to it? Cause that's really annoying to be in the middle of a chase, go to blink straight forward or up a hill or something and just being teleported to the basement.

Iv been playing nurse a fair amount in the PTB and these fixes completely broke her I'm really really hoping they wont go live with them because she is unplayable now, most maps have huge dead zones and her blinking is messed up.

Elaborate, or post a video? Dead zones imply it's static and that you can recreate the issue over and over.

Wait, that's a LOT of fixes. How did they not mention this in the dev update??? Surely they realize how many of us have been complaining about these bugs for years on end. This is great news!

I'm not really sure how to post videos on here but the entire dead dawg saloon you cannot blink into or inside at all you stand still including dropping down floors or up floors and its not just this map, its happened (just not as severely) on every map with being dragged down a level more common, there are also a lot of objects like loops and debris on maps you cant blink through when it should including a lot of pallets, I even used plaid flannel to see if it was my blink aim and the flannel would show i would blink through something and I didn't. I understand that a lot of work went into the recode and BHVR works really hard on new fixes which i appreciate
but in my opinion id rather play the old buggy version than this one.

I think the Developer Update posts were about changes and new features, they left listing the bug fixes for the actual patch notes.

Let them know since it could be fixed before hitting live. I know that nurse has always had random objects that eat her blink and deadzones but some seem new.

Dead hard was buffed as it eats many killers powers mainly nemesis, hilbilly, twins, etc

Wait, what?? Loool, this happened to me like 99% of the situations where I got pallet stunned while chain blinking... I really thought this was a feature of her...
This is probably the only thing I am expecting from the Dev update, the rest of the update is plain garbage, but I really hope she is coded properly now... Although I do not main her, I play her occasionally and she is riddled with bugs atm...

I actually thought it was just a cool clock wind sound that played when she got stunned in a blink
