Boil Over is getring à strong Buff, yet Coup de Grâce still isnt at 100% 😔
Come on, it was fun at 100% and it merely gets buffed to 80% for à non abusable perk that can only be used 5 times
And Boil Over will totally be abused an infinite amount of times on certain maps, but there are other threads for that
Come on BHVR, is it because it got a french name? Cause you totally hate your twins chapters ? 😔

Probably because survivor perks are allowed to be strong/OP while killer perks have to stay mediocre just to benefit the survivors "fun". That's my take on it, anyway. 🤷♀️

I don't see the reason for a comparison between these two perks, literally they have nothing to do with each other.
6 -
Both are ######### perks that got changes.
Boil over got turned into a useable good perk, while coup isn't even what it use to be in its original ptb(100%).
1 -
False equivalence, just because they were changed and both perks does not mean that they are in any way similar. Literally you are comparing apples and oranges as they say.

Boil over is an utility type of perk, its bonus was to make the boiling movement of the wiggle stronger AND hide the hooks on a 16(?) M of range, and it got strongly buffed to get 100% boiling effect with wiggle progress gain when the killer makes even à small fall with you (easily abusable too)
CdG was also an utility type of perk for à chase whos power is to give you bonus range from à lounge after a gen is done, you get 1 token per gen and it can be easily wasted, it then is usable 5 times in a game. It got nerfed in its first PTB from 100% bonus to 60% for no reason
Both are utility type of perks, yes they arent similar, but one was already kinda used and can be used as often as you want, the other was barely touched and still got some major restraints for using it
I can use my 1 stack of coup to down you, but you can use your infinite amount of boiling to gain wiggle progress from à little stair fall
Oh and remember that boiling is then usefull by itself, but also through the 3 other survs that can help to prevent the hook or equip the perk,
Coup is still à perk used only by One killer in the game and merely could allow to down each surv 1 time

you should gain a token for each hook you get,up to a maximum of 12 tokens,80%/90%/100% of lunge.

They're both being updated at the same time. I'd say looking at the difference in how this update is handled is a valid one.
2 -
Buckle Up got a buff and is still completely useless, but Dead Man Switch got a buff that's making it actually good and worthwhile running.
See what I did there? Compared two perks that got nothing in common, except they got changed in the same patch.
People are totally overreaction with Boil Over. Just like they did with Soul Guard, Any Means Necesarry, For the People, Built to Last and any other perk that was considered "OP" and "Abuseable" before release. It's still a niche perk that no one is going to choose over COH, DH, BT or any other meta perk.

You admit they are totally different, they are used for different reasons and effects. Literally zero comparison to each other. They are both perks in the same patch, that is where the comparison stops however.
They are handled in the exact same manner, individually assessed and updated according to the developers insight.
The time of the change is literally not an equivalent of substance, it is literally comparing apples to oranges. A false equivalence with no substantive evidence to validate a comparison. You might like one of the changes, hate the other, etc. They are however not comparable.

Yeah let's compare the best survivor perk buff with the worst killer perk buff of the update instead of looking at how Boil Over and Dead Man's Switch now both have potential in a few builds.
2 -
It wouldnt be good even with 200% extra lunge.
The fact that you can't even choose when to use it and deadhard completely eats it even before full extra lunge goes off are the reasons why it will be trash regardless of distance.
But idk, maybe if they let you lunge forever with it you could get some map pressure out of it at least.

Boil over at least allows you to mess with killer in a different way.
Dead Man's Switch is just another boring slowdown that does exact same thing as other boring slowdows and it mostlikely won't get out of ptb in its current state anyway. If they let it stay as is it would probably be the most broken perk ever on killers with mobility.

i'm simply pointing out how OP compared the strongest buff on the PTB with one of the weakest, when an equally good if not better perk is right there and equally worse perks for the survivors are also right there. the comparison feels disingenous, is all i'm saying.

I agree that this comparison really does not make any sense, most of the survivor perks buffed are still trash and same goes for the killer perks.
Just saying that at least Boil Over is something different that now seems good compared to yet another slowdown.

I like the part where dev state that coup the grace was too strong.
The perk will not get used until token system is removed/drastically altered. 5 tokens is absolute atrocious. that perk will see zero use until then.
