Small Game vs Pentimento - Small Game changes needed
One of Small Game's uses is to show how many Totems are left in the game... or how many totems have been clensed.
With the Hex. Pentimento in play, Small Game's count becomes invalid.
I suggest that DBD makes changes to Small Game, so that when Pentimento is used, then the clensed count goes down.
i.e. 5 totems are clensed. The count shows "5" on the Small Game perk. The killer uses Hex. Pentimento on 3 totems. The Small Game perk should be showing "2" now.
Without this change, Half of Small Game's use is nullified.

That's not true. With hex pentimento, the killer does not bring back the dull totems. They are rekindled totems and are different so small game is still accurate with the dull totems counter

What’s funny is this interaction is actually bugged.
Small Game will still give you a counter of cleansed totems, and it caps at 5, but only visually. In reality, it keeps counting past that (all the way to 10), and since it makes the detection cone smaller with every cleansed totem, it becomes a dead perk at 9 totems cleansed because the detection cone is 0 at that point.

the change to make it decrease as totems are rekindled seems reasonable - we get hex notifications anyway - it wouldn't be revealing anything we don't already know

They are counted, but that was probably not intended design. The wiki's description of the perk is from before rekindled totems were a thing and they mention the interaction in the trivia section below what your screenshot shows.

Do you see pentimento often? Especially with boons in play, i can´t remember the last time i´ve seen it.

I mean, Totems spawn should really be looked at and improved. I just don't wanna run around on the bottom floor on Midwitch or The Game for 5 years just to realize that the totem is upstairs xd

Still, currently totem game is completely on Survivor's favor. They have plenty of tools and each of them have pros & cons.
Give small game straight up seeing totem's aura makes every other options redundant.
