is the DDOS issue solved yet???
I've been curious about this for a couple of weeks now. I took a break around the time the ddos issue started because getting ddossed during school isn't really ideal, so ive been a bit paranoid about popping onto the game, however its been around 2 months since the issue and I havent heard anything about it from Behaviour themselves, nor even on the socials from other people. Idk maybe im blind and I just missed it but i feel like they sorta didn't mention anything about it. I do miss playing the game but i dont wanna risk getting dossed by a salty gamer screaming slurs lmao

They didn't address cheating yet, either. I still run into some of the same people blatantly cheating and making the game pointless to play. It's especially disappointing as they'll have tons of VAC bans on their profile and still on the game.

Nope, they are pretending it doesn't exist and people will stop bringing it up. At this point I'm afraid their spaghetti code is so bad they don't have an idea how to solve it, so it has just been kicked down the line. Maybe in 6-8 months or so.

Sadly i don't have any faith it will actually be looked in to. It's all just smoke and mirrors just like when they said about console optimization amongst other things.

They have to do something about this. Since they will lose a lot of players, if one can´t feel save to play anymore. We have a really toxic community and people getting access to other players IP is a serious issue.

Apparently with the next midchapter some hacking gaps have been closed but they didnt specify which ones (makes sense so the hackers have no idea what will stop working).
To the people talking about SWF, do you really have to polute a valid thread about a serious problem with "US VS THEM!"?

Honest to god ive had alot of upset/salty players go out of their way to google my in game name to get my twitter or smash.gg page, even message my socials etc.etc. If i run into 1 upset player while playing and they take my connection out or even go out of their way to do more stuff aside from just dossing, it can seriously affect my #########, and honestly im not a real big fan of the idea of it. I do like this game, i enjoy it, and im willing to look past gameplay jank but having an IP easily grabbable because of a mistake within the code or something along the lines of that, just makes me feel not so great about the idea of playing. Personally im gonna wait until SOMETHING gets said.

Having this issue fixed starts with us, the community. We have to keep talking about this on here and everywhere else. People have largely been ignoring it and BHVR is never going to fix it if nobody is talking about it. This is unacceptable, SpooknJukes is no small time DBD content creator, either. This has to be a wake up call to them. Are they gonna wait until someone gets seriously hurt because their information was leaked just by playing their game?! It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

They have no incentive to fix it unless players stop playing the game and demand it be fixed. Threads on here about it rarely get any attention so why wouldn't they brush it under the rug? We've got to hold them accountable and refuse to play their game until it's safe for us to do so. As it stands, DBD is one step removed from malware.

Recent patch notes just has the same generic message about fixing exploits. Guess we'll have to wait and see which DBD Twitch streamer is ddosed this go around since BHVR won't address it at all.
