Classic
This game was really good as it was with killers untill Halloween/Huntress came, so I was woundering since I think alot of veterans stopped playing it after all new came in, if you could make a "Classic" so you can keep your veterans AND get new players. I used alot of time on it, but the love for the game died when it came to mutch of the new sadly.

Ah yes the DBD with literally instant heal syringes/BNPs that instantly did an entire generator/shacks with two windows/jungle gyms with two pallets/20s non-Exhaustion cooldown Sprint Burst/7 blink Nurse/0 hook Moris/etc. Yeah, no.

Classic with qol changes would be perfect. Old maps, old animations.. old graphics.
Some perk and map changes would be kept to prevent infinites and OP/unfun strats.

I’d need way too much text to list every issue, but yeah. Just put some of the first ones that immediately came to mind. Also the BP grind difficulty, there being no Bloodlust back then, original DBD also didn’t have fall stagger, original BT/DS/Mettle, original Legion, etc. I’m sure I still missed a lot.

I think the only thing I would like from back in the day is the older movement and graphics, felt unique.

Here is a few other: Sprint Burst cooldown not halting while running, Vacuum pallets, Killer getting stunned by pallets after pickup animation is finished, Original Object of Obsession, instant Mori or Mori after first hook depending on how far back we go, Double pallets being a regular thing on all maps, perma sabotaged hooks.

That would actually be interesting. New players will complain and say the game sucks and says it’s stressful and hard. Then tell them to play the classic version the 2016 version and then tell them what they think

That’s not a reasonable argument. The game can still be stressful and hard now. Old DBD was genuinely just flat out stupid balance-wise.

people think this game is awful and not balanced. They think that’s bad they should have seen 2016-2018 there was a lot of stupid ######### and broken items in the past

??? There is still very unbalanced aspects in this game today. It being even worse in the past does not invalidate current issues. They are perfectly correct to recognize there are still significant balancing issues today.

Pallet Vacuums, Exhaustion Perks not pausing the cooldown while sprinting, Decisive Strike 1.0, Multi-blink Nurse, Newer players wouldn't be able to handle that chaos. lol

Maybe this "classic mode" with only the characters available until the nurse is released with a gameplay and rules of Dbd 1.1.2 may be completely free and allow new players to try the game in a more "casual" environment?

If you only can play 4 killers, 7 survivor and 100 perks it will probably be more casual. Just to try something different.
Or just to try the game for free for new players before buying.
