Dead Hard needs a nerf
Title says it all. Perk is broken, gives survivors 3 health states and everyone is using it.
We are past the part where Dead Hard for distance was only used my smart survivors, now everyone realized how to abuse this perk and it's a braindead autowin in chases.
There is no counter to it. Anti-exaustion perks and addons are pretty much useless. Killers have no way to avoid this perk.
Do something Bhvr before there will only be facecamping Bubbas playing your game

Coming from a Survivor main I think Dead Hard is a stupid perk. People wanna complain about NOED saving the Killer but Dead Hard does the same thing, MULTIPLE TIMES. At least NOED is preventable.

Hmm, we could just limit how many times player can play it. Zarr had a post where SWF could have perks only once per team. It wouldn't be so much pain if there would be only on 1 player. We would get diversity and I always love how there are team roles on tournaments. Camping / tunneling would have to get adressed for this to happen tho...

You say it's broken but don't give any proof it's broken.

Yes.

Just play one or two games with it or just play killer, who needs proof when it's a literal invincibility for free.
Yes it takes some skill but prolonging a chase for 10+ seconds in almost any circumstance is pretty ridiculous.

The perk is relatively fine, but the hit validation is an actual problem since it consistently causes abnormal interactions with killer powers in a manner that's advantageous to survivors 100% of the time

It should be able to be used only once each time you are injured, it only recovers when you are healed
3 -
No it doesn't. Get over it or go complain about it in one of the other 300 Dead Hard crying post

If that many people complain about dead hard you should at least understand that even though you may not have an issue with it, maybe because you "4k no addons with clown every match", the majority of players DO have a problem with the perk.

What proof do i need to give you? There is plenty of evidence on youtube how survivors get outplayed yet it doesn't matter because Dead Hard saves them. Everyone knows what this perks does.
Yes Dead Hard does need a nerf. This is a really good suggestion, not a complaint

Someone saying something is not proof. If that were true, then Lucky Break would have broken the game. Instead, it's a completely unused perk, after the developers buffed it.

The issue is that the DBD forums is an echo chamber of primarily killer mains who believe the game is tilted heavily against them because Devs are supposedly survivor sided when the game is relatively balanced and if anything, is dictated by how much of a sweat the killer wants to be.
I can go into a match as Bubba for example, hook someone with 5 gens still unfinished and already confirm a kill by standing there with my chainsaw in the air. Yes thenother survivors don't have to show up but 1. I've already ruined one person's gaming experience. 2. I've ruined everyone else's because now they have to play gen simulator, and 3. I probably have NOED anyway so I can guarantee a 2nd and possibly 3rd kill. So as killer, I get to choose whether the game is going to be fun for everyone or a boring snoozefest.

the bubba defense is such a weak argument for the game being killer sided considering in comp the bubba 1-2ks at best

The point is that the killer has always been the one that dictates how a match is going to go based on how they choose to play. And I can do the same with ANY killer by choosing not to hit whoever is going for the save and only grab them when they commit to it and drop them on the ground if no one else is there. Any killer is capable of camping and making the game a miserable experience

Camping doesn't do anything if people sit on gens. Also, the grab animation is bugged and validated..only works half the times

uh huh.....alright...ok.

Unsure how the question was phrased but even people who play both sides (which i do as well) have a side they play more often than the other. So that poll doesn't really show or prove anything

Dude you are literally denying facts that are put on your face. No, this is not an eco chamber of killer mains but people that play both roles and know what's too strong and what's not.

Just my opinion but Dead Hard probably does need a nerf now that it’s working properly. Before hit validation the invulnerability aspect of the perk was kept somewhat in check the hit latency. Now, though, any survivor with quick enough reflexes can dodge any hit 100% of the time by reacting to the swing animation which makes that part of the perk much better than it was.
If periodic invulnerability were all the perk offered that would maybe be ok, but in fact many survivors use the perk for its other major benefit, namely lunging for extra distance in a chase. In fact when I polled survivors on this perk a bit ago the great majority of players who use Dead Hard regularly said they would still use it just for that lunge even if they could take damage during it. In other words Dead Hard’s extra distance is apparently its most popular aspect among regular users, avoid damage is a bonus!
And that’s why I suspect that Dead Hard should either give the distance but not invulnerability, or give the invulnerability but no extra distance, but not both. Either of those effects individually would be a perk that survivors would probably still use, so the current version being a combination of the two makes it insanely good compared to all the other Exhaustion perks and almost all the other perks generally speaking. It’s the main reason the perk is easily the most popular Exhaustion perk and one of the top two or three most popular survivor perks.
Just my two cents

if it even works

It works 99.9999% of times, If anything I've yet to see any dead hard bugs after fix.

Dude, they added hit validation. You don't get exhausted on the ground anymore.

yeah that would not be good idea with the current healing possibilities, you could chase people forever and never be able to down with some killers

Why do you think I have started camping with bubba?
