Optimize your damn game already!
My game chokes the SECOND something happens.
Survivor dead hards, LAG. Survivor drops a flashbang, LAG. A gen pops, LAG. A survivor gets hooked, LAG.
I have missed so many ######### hits and skill checks because the game decided that it's gonna choke on it's own crappy coding!
Played my first match as Hillbilly in months and right as I'm about to get a down with the chainsaw a generator pops, my games spazzes, I'm looking a different direction, the survivor is still running, and I have to sit through the chainsaw cooldown. WHAT THE #########. I HAD THEM.
Another example. I'm sitting on a gen and I get a skill check. A survivor gets downed half way across the map causing my game to spaz making me miss the skillcheck, which in turn causes the blight to come straight to me after hooking them.
I can't count how many times I get ######### by how poorly this game is made.

Lost a potentially game-changing down just today because a gen popped in the middle of my lunge and cancelled it, I'm starting to get real fkn tired of how terribly optimized last gen consoles are, if Metal Gear Solid 5 can look better and run better on a PS3 than Dead by Daylight on PS4 then that's just pathetic.

I honestly think BHVR can't make a game that functions properly. I got a copy of Naughty Bear: Gold Edition on the ps3 and it runs like garbage. How the hell did they get a special edition for Naughty Bear when it runs like I'm running ray tracing in vr on minecraft.

Yeah it has been running badly of late, I have a 3080ti but running on low as getting fps drops. My native res is 4k but it used to be a constant 120fps so something went wrong in a recent update

Now imagine us consolers on the older units who never see above 30 frames and are locked on Ultra graphics...

they won't change anything, i had this for 2 years with an old laptop , the killer triggers blood lust LAG, you drop a pallet LAG
they did nothing , it's only when i got a new pc it stopped (and my old one wasn't bad)

That was a big reason I uninstalled. Figured I'd try that, take a break, and see if I ever feel like coming back. That was right when Pinhead was released, and the poor optimization alone is still enough to make me cringe at the thought of reinstalling this game (not to mention the stale, repetitive gameplay that began to feel like a chore)
Oddly enough, I just came onto the forums today to see if there's anything new worth checking out, or if things have improved at all... But I think I got my answer here lol. I suppose I'll just keep playing games that work instead!

It’s depressing how far that thread has come along and there seems to be very little effort done by BHVR to fix performance. I’m done trying.
