How to have fun as killer

Maybe the game just isn't for you. Playing killer is infinitely more fun than survivor. You probably just don't understand the role.

Try out new builds and new killers? Make a win condition that doest involve sweating for 4K or any number of kills for that matter.
Best thing to do is focusing on getting better with certain killer power, better at mindgames, better at reading survivors and so on.
But its all on you to make your own fun in the end.

Play something else. Devs have made the game a total joke for killers now.

Thats the nature of core mechanics in this game. We can accept it as it is or not.
It wont change the fact that fun is something players themselves need to create

Stop using a 4K as you fun/win condition (which seems to be common). I prefer to 4K, but I don't need to 4K. I absolutely could 4K a lot, but it would require me to play in a way I don't enjoy.

Gotta switch it up and keep it fresh .
I like killer in that I get to decide how the game goes and don't have to rely on teammates.
And as others have stated, if you only play for 4ks, you are bound to be disappointed.
I usually do 2 solo games, then a killer game as the killer I last versed using their build. That works for me, as opposed to a continuous grind of one role.

Besides the maps and Dead Hard, this game would be so much better if ######### boons didn't exist. They have ruined this game. Killer is so boring now, have to tunnel and camp not to get completely stomped as killer. Hit a guy and he's healed in 4 seconds if you try to spread pressure. So dumb

I just today decided to make my own game with Ghostface I won't chase those pesky survivors anymore a want to get better at the whole stealth stalk and strike thing and if they see me befor I can fully aproche them and stalk i will just leave them running there are others to stalk. (maybe that's how gf is supposed to be played all along I don't know)

Do different build that haven't been done before. I did run dark devotion on doc and it was fun for me. As survivor I run autodidact with empathy just to see how many I can get healed.

This one is easy. Put on insidious, go to the corner of the map and face the wall and look up at the sky. Go play civilization until the end of the match. Read the hate mail survivors send for not allowing them to bully you and being forced to do nothing but gens. Laugh at their messages, go back to playing Civilization.

Don't get good and stay a noob. Killers at low level are fun. High level killers is just a target of abused by survivors and SWF, with the exception of Nurse/Blight

You cannot "win", not at high skill level thanks to the oh so wise decision to balance for lower skills. Throwing games is just not valuing your time. I've left a while ago myself. (Only here to remember why this game is still bad.)
What you could do is play a different game in the game. Forget the gens : simply tunnel some guy out and see how many you can get before they all escape. Also, try to completely ignore the ones obviously trying to get their attention. Focus on the other ones instead, that usually rile them up. (Once I've purposefully ignored a guy called "Tunnel me" all game, killing his friends and finishing him last. Being a Nurse main helped of course) You could also count DCs as bonus points.
Don't forget to score the game as "no fun" in the after-game screen. (Many people seem to ignore the feature exists.)
Bar that, there are now alternatives that are actually pretty fun IMHO.
Well, one is still in closed beta but is very fun for both sides. It's hard though. People used to have is easy as survivors here will not enjoy it one bit.)

Take a break. If you’re burnt out, then taking a break and clearing your mind from the game will make you appreciate it more when you come back.

Custom game bots, take all the negative social element out of this game, which lets face it is the source of 90% of the lackluster play experience.

Tunnel one guy out of the game early, eat every DS and avoid BT's. Read the end-game chat. Alternatively you may use Bubba and facecamp the first hook.

I don't know how to have fun as a solo survivor. My teammates don't do gens, killers get 4ks in more than 85% of my games (I've kept track). If the game isn't fun, don't play. I take months long breaks from this game because it's just not fun. I keep checking back in and it's still not fun.

uh stop playing to win, it makes the game funner and messing around with survivors (or mess with them). I try doing every killer in rotation to challenge myself and to keep the game interesting

Killers 4K most of the time in my games too. Once you fall through the MMR event horizon, it is very difficult to claw your way out as a solo survivor.

Problem is that with how game is balanced, you kinda have to give up on that. Game basically guarantees escapes.

Only way I could have fun was playing Pig and collecting Boop the snoot.
But sometimes you just get unlucky with SWF that wants to go on next game in 4 minutes, I guess they like waiting in queues.
