The Entity Has A Tree Cloning Facility?

Member Posts: 8,077

Seriously, note the trees on the map of your choice. Same 2 or 3 models rotated slightly.

No, you'll never be able to unsee it - and neither can I.

This is true of almost every video game you can play and I assure you that the tree in Shelter Woods is #NotLikeOtherTrees too

Hah, I know - that's why I noticed. Working on something of my own at present and do that all the time. I also vary the size though.

Makes sense in a lore sense. My understanding is that the Entity makes imperfect replicas of places it takes people from, and can't ever quite get it right. It's why the tiles randomise, it's why most maps have a brick wall around them, it's why the map starts to crumble after the exit gates open...

I like it. Repeated trees is a nice visual signifier of a place being fake.

The Entity is just using Botanist Knowledge and cloned seeds from the perfect tree so they'd always appear.

If they can control up to seven realms and beyond, they can do a little botany.

I thought this is common thing to know...perhaps because its my job.

I do wish we had more blighted trees and shrubs i feel like we were shown that stuff from The blight preview in the tome but we never see blighted flowers or anything in the maps

Tbh this seems like an acceptable shortcut for a game designer to take

Most importantly: It has a tree model with branches that exist just to screw Hillbilly and Cannibal over. The entity takes her job as tormentor very serious, thrust me...
