Emergency maintenance will be carried out on the Forums from 18.00hrs EDT for approximately 2 hours, there may be trouble accessing the forums during that time. Thank you for your patience.

Coming on and off randomly to this game over the years, I’m not surprised one thing never changed.

The toxicity.

like, holy #########

It’s actually gotten worse lmao.

Why is the majority of the community just vile asf?

The nature of the gameplay gives an illusion that the gameplay is extremely personal. So people take BM to heart all the time. Some people really are out to make your time miserable just to make themselves feel better.

I mean they could have… banned the problematic players too… instead of giving them shards an inadvertently encouraging them to do stuff like that again.

It's no more toxic than what is said in-between snaps on the football field.

I wonder when I play VHS when it comes out. Will I look at dbd from an outside perspective and say "There's a lot of salt in that"

I don't think the community's vile nature will ever cease. Two, three, four years from now my inbox will probably still get abused each time I play. I only keep it open for dms cuz the salt is funny. It's completely ridiculous to me how someone will be so mad over this game, they feel the need to remind you what a trash player you are and to learn to play the game. My favorite is when they harass for 2 days+ till they get blocked.

    It'll never change I'm afraid.
