Where did I put that world’s tiniest violin….?

Was there any reasoning behind this?

Violins are amazing

I’m sure there’s a reason, maybe something broke or maybe they aren’t happy with the kill rate stats on the map and are making changes? They wouldn’t just randomly take the offering out though.

i'm betting haddonfield is next in line for a rework.

It's explained here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/299-kill-switch-master-list

The reasoning behind this is in our KillSwitch article in the KB.
The map is having a visual and level design update, so will be unavailable for the immediate future.

Thanks! 🙂

unpopular opinion, but haddonfield isn't even that bad anymore. Badham or like, cowshed, feel infinitely worse to play on. Hell, even the gideon meat plant feels worse lol

So it’s overall layout is being changed?

i like this feature a lot

Just to clarify, I don’t care so much about how good or bad it is, I just get tired of seeing the same offerings repeatedly.

Removing the Myers House infinite really helped.
I'm cautiously optimistic about Haddonfield getting a design rework, but I'll be :| if it just turns out to be a "everything's the same but there's 10 breakable walls now, have fun" situation.

Haddonfield rework...yes please!
Hopefully this involves making the fences a bit less abusive, the hooks a touch more generous and getting rid of some of the silly loops and vaults.
Do RPD next.

I really hope it continues to have lots of grass and areas survivors can't avoid traps - it's my favorite map as Trapper.

Thank you! Is it the same with Fractured Cowshed & The Crotus Prenn Asylum?
My all-time favorite trap area is outside of the upstairs Myers window. I swear I get them every time.
2 -
no those two are disabled due to certain bugs and will return in the next hotfix.

I know most killers hate it but I have the most fun as Trapper on that map. Just so many good places to put traps down. I'm so worried the rework is going to ruin that.
1 -
Yep, nothing is more satisfying with Trapper than placing a trap just outside one of those second story windows at the start of the match, chasing the first survivor you find into that house, and SNAP! 😄

Not my most hated map (RPD, Coldwind, Swamp, Badham) there is still lots of ridiculous ######### on there like when the tall fences go around 50% of a house with no opening. I want to be excited but at the same time this increases my chances to get my most hated especially that ######### swamp that I seem to play on 2-5 times out of ten.

"Hi, we're calling to let you know that we have temporarily disabled your own map, you may not access your own home for a short period of time, we apologize for the inconvenience, Goodbye."

They could fix Haddonfield by blocking the second floor windows on every house and putting "breakable fences" in place of a third of the fence vaults. Sometime tells me this is not the route they will be going.
Here's hoping it shakes out more like updated Ormond than updated The Game

fully agreed, so sick of the "rework means add breakable walls". Just make the map a functional and fun experience lmao
2 -
Here have mine, i would love to hear that sound all day for it being disabled 😂

Haddonfield and Cowshed disabled. Killers can breathe a little easier.

Breathing easier would be good news for Nurse. 🙂

That. Watching survivors avoid the thin paths between house and fence because they're scared of getting caught in a trap. 😂
I'm a big fan of double traps where I use a trap on one side of a window so the survivor thinks there's nothing on other side only to get caught right after. It's so enjoyable to hear one trap get disarmed only to be quickly followed by a survivor stepping in another trap. 😂

The only reason that I select Haddonfield as a Survivor is because I'm a Halloween fan. It has nothing to do with the map being easy/ hard for either party involved. Simple as that. Before anyone on either side decides to say anything, there are always counters to the opposition and it's your job to devise a strategy (unless someone is outright cheating aka hacking). Once Boil Over was reworked, a majority of killers not only complained, but they started running Iron Grasp and Agitation. Survivors started countering with things like Power Struggle and again, killers expecting a 4k every match complained about that perk too. Entitlement exists on both sides. As a survivor, you shouldn't expect to escape from every match and as a killer, you shouldn't expect to get a 4k every match. A loss is a loss. Take it and move on. I play 50/50 (both sides) and the biggest problem I've run into is low-key hacking.

So only as a survivor? Or do you play it as killer as well?
