no i understand what is oppressive and what isn't, you can't comprehend that blackface is oppressive to black people and that 'dragface' doesn't exist, you're just a selfish person where if something doesn't impact you it doesn't matter and as soon as something is changed to help people who are being impacted by something, you overreact and reach on other topics (like pretending drag face is a thing) to try and prove how silly the 'woke' internet is by being offended by racism.

This whole mask removal was a PR-thing nothing more. Can't have a handful of people call the devs racists cause of a cosmetic so better remove them.
I have over 3.5k hours ingame. I have Adam, Tapp and Claudette P3'd, all perks just like most of the other survivors. I NEVER got tunneled or camped cause I was playing either of the characters named above!
The weeks before the masks removal I ran ito a lot of face camping Bubba's tho, some with the Claud mask, some weren't wearing it and they did face camp me when I was playing survivors such as Felix and Leon.
People in this community LOVE to stir up drama like with the DDOS breach. Ppl were going nuts they would get DDOS'd cause it happened to ONE person who stated it happened to them when 99% of the community are completely safe to play...

There is a difference between camped in a videogame (this one is fine) and being camped in a videogame because you belong to a specific ethnic group (this one is not fine, not even close).

It was definitely a handful (or two) of trolls. You can pretend this was some kind of epidemic all you like but rational people can see through the hype.

Its not blackface. Anymore than a white person putting on an Obama mask at halloween is blackface. The intent behind the action is what matters.
That's on BHVR. Rather than fix the reporting and ban system they punish the majority of players who used the masks as intended. People have been complaining about the ban and report system for as long as I've been on these forums.

Tell me, how do you "misuse" an in-game cosmetic? I'm not talking about camping or tunneling, because that all can be done without the cosmetic. I'm not talking about the chat abuse, because that's chat abuse, not cosmetic abuse, and can be done as well without it. How exactly do you misuse a cosmetic? Please tell me, I'm intrigued.

Good point! Camping and tunneling with the mask was not bannable nor racist. It was the chat and messeging that made it racist.

This I also still don’t understand. How is a man wearing make up “transphobic”. If the devs were calling it “trans rep” then I’d understand the issue. But I haven’t seen them say that. If they did please point it out to me. But I digress, a man wearing make up isn’t transphobic and if that’s your stance you are boarding on conforming to gender roles among a bunch of other things.

No it's blackface. Wearing a black woman's skin on your face as a white guy is blackface. Your comparison is also blackface just less severe and can still be used as a tool for racism. As for your comment on Sonzaishina, It is really easy to get around bans and no amount of reporting and banning can completely stop racism so rather than fail to ban the people who were determined to mess with people because of their race it was smarter to get rid of the tool for racists than to keep it in the game and continue to have people abuse it and harass others.

Well is it not the truth? I mean I get that people are angry that content was removed but at this point people are really defending blackface just because they want in game content that doesn't mess with the game play nor do you see most of the match. I just can't see as to why people are defending it.

Issue is it’s not actually black face. Putting the skin of a black person on your face doesn’t make it “black face”. There’s no caricature that’s being portrayed.

I respect your opinion but I disagree. Normally I might agree but bubba's whole thing is putting on the skin of his victims and pretending to be that person which is some form of caricature. Yes it is true that there is no blatant caricature being portrayed however its still the fact that it's leatherface who were talking about and the reason why the racists were using the mask in the first place. Same reason why the one old cosmetic bug that puts Joey's head on Frank's body wasn't blackface, because when it happened its just a bug, and not an act to be a person of different race. Even if I'm totally wrong I stand by my opinion and I hope you can respect that.

It would be more racist to not include Claudette's face to the collection because she is black. It is a dude that rips peoples faces off and wears them, saying it is blackface is reading into it to much.

First off yes, that is why all of them were removed instead of just smartface. Second off regardless of how you explain it, it is still a white guy wearing a black persons face. That being said if your angry that a cool way to get cosmetics was removed I agree entirely and hope they find a better way to put it back into the game.

Dumbest thing that they have ever done honestly.
It's like when people are shooting each other on the streets and government says let's remove the guns from police officers as well to battle this issue.
Meahwhile people will be killing each other with any other tool, while the issue becomes unresolved and one side is completely ######### over for no reason.

Even if there was it would still take time to change it.
People were being harrased now so they needed the solution now
