What is with Solo Queue teammates right now?

Just a slight little rant, but what is wrong with teammates right now? Ever since the event started I've been getting teammates who don't even touch gens paired with sweaty/try hard killers. It's very frustrating.

I mean that's just matchmaking in general. It's probably more noticeable though because everyone is rushing to get the envelopes

Yeah, but it's become more common ever since the event. But like you said, everyone is probably rushing to collect all of the envelopes, so that's probably why.

It's unfortunately something I see gradually getting worse until the solo queue experience improves.

I think a lot of good survivors are driven to SWF because the lack of basic info makes solo a bad experience. It's hard to compete against a good killer without any information, and it's not fair for some players to devote perk slots for information that is free to other players.

I understand that the devs give a lot of weight to atmosphere and immersion and thus want minimal UI bloat, but that's simply not how a lot of players experience the game after a certain amount of time. It becomes more of a pvp game and less of a horror game as the hour count rises.

My assumption is that so many people are playing Survivors that the matchmaking system has pretty much no choice but to just randomly pair up people. My SoloQ teammates are significantly worse than during the weekend and my survivors as Killer are not top tier either.

Yeah I noticed that since the event began. It's probably that survivors are looking for the envelopes. Thus them spending less time working on gens.

People waste tons of time racing each other for the envelopes.

That said, I've been getting pretty gen-averse teammates lately, even on top of the event distraction. Had a few matches where someone was left to die on first hook while I was being chased. An absolute chad of a David boosted my faith in soloQmanity last night, though.

I have had killers in my matches tell me, “I’m sorry your team sold you” yep it’s awful i had multiple game where I was left on first hook. I told a doctor today,

Died on first hook after I gave him 2 pallet stuns and a 2 minute chase. Yay

It also seems to happen a lot when new Tomes come out. There are too many people focused on doing their tomes, even at the cost of the match and it hamstrings the entire team :(
