  • There is a special (and legit spoopy) audio cue on entering Farm maps.
  • New sound effects on a variety of things, including menus.

Ya it looks like they really updated audio queues such as challenges as you mentioned on hoverover

Update audio effects are the only things I've really noticed. Thought the Coldwind one was a Freddy sfx at first because I was just getting a lot of Coldwind while levelling him lol

Spending bloodpoints feels so creepy with the new sound effects.

    I don't know why

I really like the Coldwind audio cue, I was hoping to hear em on other maps too.

I must say, I hope I see more like this in the future. This sort of audio stuff adds so much texture to the world.

Hell, I'm actually having fun playing Cenobite again - simply due to how frigging incredible the new voicing is.

No idea if this is new but I feel like the camera while being healed was lowered more than normal.

I noticed ruin has a delay because before you could tap a gen and know ruin is up. Now you have to wait a second before the gen gets ruined.

It has been lowered to how it is when you crouch. Before this patch you could press the crouch button while being healed and the camera would move down. So I knew immediately it had changed.

Something I have noticed was when camping a pallet the killer (a huntress) could shove me away so that I couldn’t throw the pallet, which I never have seen happen before. My swf teammate had the same experience in that match once.

There is a lag on the nurse's second blink

Survivor's crawling gauge does not reset

Wait a few things have come to mind.

As others have mentioned there's the camera being lower when you're being healed.

Spirit takes a tad longer to accelerate in her power now (or I'm just really not used to her.

The Bubba bug after chainsawing someone also prevents him tantruming (bug but still)

When I initially saw it I thought my camera was just at a weird angle with the wall. Then when I turned around I felt weird lol

I really like the Play Station button prompts now when using the PS controller with Steam DS4 controller support enabled! Such a nice addition. I play survivor on PS4 or Xone controller and it's nice to see the PS button prompts too, well done.

Definitely a whole load of audio effects, which are great btw.

On top of that, I wonder if there has been a balqnce on the wiggle system. I've noticed with the wiggle that, yes, there is a buff to survivors with the Great skill check option. A minor one, but it exists nevertheless. However, as killer I've noticed it's easier to take survivors to the hook. The wiggle seems to have become less extreme, and I'm wondering if this was intentional or not. Either way, it evens out concerns over the Great skill checks.

This always bothered me. How was I supposed to press the A button when my controller doesn't have an A button? This was listed as a bug fix so maybe it was always supposed to be like this and nobody realised for the last 5 years.

Yes, PC, I will be happy to now press the Cross button as I can see one here.

All maps played the same audio cue in the past didn't they? I'm glad they are adding them back, it's pretty anticlimax to start a match in silence.

I hear the obsession audio cue every time I play as killer since the obsession change.

I actually majorly preferred the game defaulting to xbox prompts for my DS4/5 controllers. :-/

No doubt that's insanely confusing to younger gamers and/or anyone without a feel for that xbox design though.

I've just been conditioned by years & years of every PC games defaulting every controller to Microsoft's 360 design that I instinctively recognize both bindings as the same thing. I honestly don't even consciously notice the actual binds are wrong until I decide to change them or something else draws my attention to the fact there's a B instead of a circle.

The issue with them changing then? It's just that mimicking that default 360 design makes those prompt icons stand out a whole lot better. You don't even need to recognize that character shown because the whole icon is basically color coded already. In comparison, it's colored symbol outlines inside a dark blob now. Even with the L1/L2, they end up using these dark off-greys trying to mimic the PS4 controller I guess which end up making it harder to differentiate than LB/L2 even if its just a single character difference.

Might seem strange caring when I should have everything in this game down to muscle memory anyhow. I just play around with this game's button bindings all the time since every combination I've tried still feels off to me. After yearts I'm still trying to figure out some bind design that doesn't require some compromise or another for what I really want from DBD controls.

I know what I'd run if I still had a 360 Elite controller, since the paddles mean I don't have to compromise about what has quick trigger access while leaving me both hands on the joysticks. That's just not an option anymore since I'm never going back from that DS4/5 trackpad as an even more important controller element for a wider range of gaming (which also gives me a lot of uses in DBD too, it's just not by trigger-set dead hard option)

The new build-in toggle option should open up a whole lot of options though, so maybe I can find "just right" Though that does swings back around to the first point. it's gonna be even harder adjusting to try different binds since they're not as distinctive. Oooofta.

I noticed with my Feng that they changed the sounds of her footsteps and made them a lot louder. I don't know if it's for all of her cosmetics or just the one I was wearing tho.
