dbd friend invite query

just wondering how to make or indeed join a party in dbd, anytime i look at the few friends ive made recently the invite and join are blacked out and block and unfriend are available,i just want to know why can i not join nor invite players,friends to a party and how i go about playing with friends? may seem silly but its not plainly obvious unless i make a custom game and still it blacks out same shiz.

    Sometimes it's because they are playing "the enemy" and others, their lobby is full.

    Or so I think.

    i'd like to think so but its never available, I appreciate the reply and will keep a closer eye on it, be great if that's all it is

    so I seen an invite available and just as I was about to invite it blacked out, about same time they went from in lobby to in game so I think the post from IDONTKNOWTBH is likely correct, if anyone has same issue.

    l also noticed with my swf partner that it is sometimes just blacked out without any reason and we would need to go back to main menu and then to the lobby to join/invite. Also sometimes the Steam online status is a problem (invisible/offline)

    Yes, that too.

    When I play with a friend that always shows as offline, he has to join me, I can't invite nor join.
