Let's talk about the Boon Totem CoH nerf.
I'm gonna be honest here and straight to the point: did you guys like the nerf? Because reducing the speed by the amount they did was like nothing at all. People are still using it in my matches in both sides. I am still using it. It's still super strong. Yes I know the killer just snuffs to remove but there are some spots that are no viable at all, you would have to give up the chase to remove it.
I wanna go extreme and say that the only way to actually nerf it (without reducing more speed) is limiting its uses, like for example you put it and it serves to heal X times in total, or unlimited to the user and limited to the teammates.
What do you guys think? How can they actually balance it for both survivors and killer?

I don't think this nerf was genuinely equivalent to doing nothing, a few seconds off is something, but I don't think it went far enough at all.
The unfortunate thing about CoH is that, at least as far as I can see, there's not really a way to nerf it while keeping it consistent with the other boon perks. You can't make sweeping changes regarding limited refreshes or tighter radius of effect or any other real mechanic for boons at large, or you'll make Shadow Step and especially Exponential unusable, but those are also the things that CoH kind of needs adjusted.
I'd say maybe make self-healing a stricter mechanic in general, so you can never self-heal faster than a specific value no matter how much you stack boosts. That would do a lot for it- I don't mind as much when more than one survivor is there healing one another, at least then they're all in one place and potentially out of position, but having only one guy run off and heal at mach speed is really rough.

Boons need to be reworked before nerfing the perks cause no nerf will fix anything as long as the mechanic is an issue.

Only Boon related change I think should happen is having Booned Hex totems relight once the Killer snuffs it out.
It gives the Survivor a choice. Do you Boon the Hex totem, risking the Hex coming back into play once the Killer finds the Boon and snuffs it, or do you break the totem, removing the Hex permanently but also losing a potential Boon opportunity.

The way boons work need to be fixed first.

What nerf?
Seriously, a whopping just under 2 seconds longer to heal in the current ultra-fast healing rate of COH (not counting medkits or other perks that stack) doesn't count as a nerf.

Yea, the CoH "nerf" is purely cosmetic. The actual completed heal time difference is almost nothing. I feel like they just wanted to reduce the numbers to say "look guys we're listening, why don't you love us". Meanwhile they take away cosmetics from content creators who provide legitimate criticism to out of touch devs. God, this situation is so frustrating.

The perfect solution is to admit it was a horrific mistake and remove it. The more realistic solution since these devs never admit a mistake, Is to make it slower than self care.

Full Boon change.
CoH gives a non-stackable 50% healing to all survivors on the map. Furthermore, it allows self-care. Finally, the survivors enters the match with 2 totems that can be placed in any empty totem spot on the map with 10 second assembly time. The survivor earns up to 3 more totems. 1 totem when the 2nd and 3rd gens are complete and the third from destroying a dull or lit hex totem.
Buffing the range to whole map helps survivors
Nerfing the healing speed and stacking helps killers
Allowing survivors to build the totem in spots not occupied by one of the 5 game totems gives survivors flexibility while also not hindering killer's who are running perks where the totem may light later in the game.
Just a thought, likely more thought than the dev team put into it. haha....j/k.

Honestly I'd be happy if they just made it so that only 1 totem could carry CoH in the match at a time. You'd still get the relight squads, but they wouldn't be able to cover such a ridiculously large portion of the map.

What nerf? I mean, they SAID they nerfed it, but nerfs tend to actually make noticeable changes. 🙃

Boons are a fantastic mechanic. They just need tuned. If you are going to have something "game changing" like CoH, it should have pretty severe downsides as well. Similar to a Killer's Hex Totems.
That being said, the nerf is a joke. It's akin to old Thanataphobia, where the progression bar changing to red was purely a placebo, and it didn't really do anything. I barely noticed a difference the times one of my team mates popped up a CoH totem and went to heal there. The only noticeable change was that red progression bar.
Either limit the total number of people who can use it for non-Perk Self-Care, make it have a limit to the number of times you can Bless a Totem (she has to run out of witchy-poo'ness eventually right?), make it worse than Self-Care so it's an emergency option only, or something along those lines that will keep it powerful, it can be removed by the Killer, but still fair in terms of game play. The actual boost to Player healing Other Player feels good though.

The nerf pretty much did nothing. I mean at least it got hit with something, but it only adds like 2 or 3 seconds of heal time.

They nerfed it? Whaaaaaat?? I don't see it. All i see is boons everywhere and people instant healing themselfs if i stop chasing them.
By the way im sarcastic i know they ... " nerfed " it but honest it did NOTHING!!
Can you actually just admit that boons are bad design and make them eather token based or 1 time only on 1 totem.
edit: typos

Don't forget they reverted the survivor animations when all survivor screamed that it ######### with their muscle memory instead of relearning it and having better animations.

Boons should have a secondary effect that only the perk bringer can use

You are lucky game not designed like killers have to make a dull totem to the hex take 15 seconds , you get all your hex pre enabled!
