I have made this post while I wait for the penalty to expire. It's dumb that other people can force you to disconnect and then you get penalized.

I know on ps5 you have option to play ps4 version of the game so you are be able to play with crossplay off in the ps4 lobbies - can you do the same with the new Xbox? I know it can still happen with crossplay off but atleast not as frequent as with it on.

I said multiple times I still play with my friends and only with my friends.
Just so happens that someone that we had...encountered previously was in my game and booted me off.

1.) Yes.
2.) My entire internet shut down.
3.) It is very difficult to VPN on Console. You'd really need to hook it up to your router which is a hassle and really only deters people from doing it. If they're motivated, they can still hit you.

Nah, they were on Xbox.
They just pulled my IP from a website that does that specifically for the purpose of booting. Don't worry tho, you can pay a small fee to remove your IP.

I guess the only thing you can do is log the account names of everyone you play with. When a DDoS happens; get the police involved. A DDoS attack is quite illegal, and can carry fines and prison times. And the cops can subpoena the personal information of those involved.
Let's see little Timmy 13 year old crap a brick when the cops knock on his door because he felt bad he lost in DBD.
