What do you do when you catch cheaters?

Survivors consist of the majority of cheaters (i would say 95%) so what do you do to them?

I played against a Feng that had unlimited Unbreakables and i knew what she was doing. Since i had Twins with Deerstalker i was hardcore slugging and when i would move away she would take that time to cheat and i 100% caught her cheating.

If 2 are already killed and i catch that person then i wont care about the 4k and slash that person multiple times on hook. One time a Meg i fought on the game a few weeks back who had the speed glitch ( i couldnt get close to her)

I baited her a** though and as she went for the unhook i hooked her and she never got off of it while slashing her the whole time. I think i reported her and then blocked but as we know reporting cheaters means absolutely nothing, on console anyway.

So in summary: Slash multiple times on hook to make them miserable, then report block!

What are your experiences with cheaters?

I report them in some vain fruitless attempt to get them banned

Without video evidence it feels pointless trying to report them. I have seen instaheals, two DH in one game, chases that never end because they have speed boost. In these cases it's even harder because I don't record whole matches.

    I feel apathetic about it.

I might be wrong, but in-game report alone does nothing. You need to fill this form and provide some kind of proof (e.g. video)

I have sent some reports, mainly for bots, but I never heard back

I ignore them. I just go after the other survivors and let the annoying one be annoying over there. Not much else you can do with them unless they're really bad at cheating and still manage to get themselves caught somehow.

I don't bother reporting anymore. Not worth all the time and effort. BHVR can police their own damn game, I'm not going to do it for them.

Nicely said! Im the same way, i'll ignore the cheaters until i either catch them which usually means they are bad at cheating or just let them be until the end where i can hopefully catch them.

"Ignoring" survivors is actually a legit strat.

I'll ignore Boil Over users that pick certain maps and go to the high buildings (I know about this start already and ready to counter it) and leave them for the end, cheaters (until or hopefully i catch them) and Sprint Burst users (Make them waste they're Sprint Burst and I'll get them when they're exhausted or outpositioned)

A game without replay to re-watch a match from other players' perspective, requires video proof to make it works : (

You can only able to tell a player has +5% speed if you're chasing/chased by them. With proof from your perspective isnt even clear to see.

This was like 3 years ago but I caught a cheater with infinite sprint burst. It was pretty damn funny. All 3 survivors already left or were dead. He kept bullying me. I was trapper. Eventually he stepped in a trap I set at the beginning of the match that no one stepped in. When I put him on the hook I did the slow, intimidating 180 degree turn so he saw my face when he was being sacrificed.
