Holding Game Hostage Yes or No?
Comments
-
No. It was your team who messed up the Gens. That can happen on some maps so that the last 3 Gens are close to each other.
The killer patrolling them and damaging them is part of their gameplay. If those Gens are close to each other because the Gens far away already have been done, it is not the Killers fault.

Thats specifically how you defend gens if survivors don't think ahead and corral themselves into a trifecta. That said, there should always be a third gen in that scenario, even though it could still be pretty close to the other two.

There wasn’t a 3rd gen to do it was on the Michael Myers map I ran around that entire map in the houses between them behind them and there were only 2 gens left. But I guess then yea poor planning on our part. That doeent typically happen in most of the games I’m in the last gens are usually pretty spread apart.0

If you were 4 Survivors, 7 gens in total should have spawned.

No its not, you three gen'd your self

Last 2 gens were pretty much right next to each other so the killer could just walk back and forth really quickly preventing anything from being fixed. It went on for so long that someone DC’d because he wasn’t letting anyone touch the gens. If someone touched the Gen he’d hit them and chase them away then immediately run back to the gens and would repeat that cycle. Would this be considered holding the game hostage? No it is not

Killer tunnels one person --> Survivors: Don't tunnel people, go and patrol gens.
Killer patrols gens --> Survivors: Don't patrol gens, go and chase somebody. You just want favors from the killers for your own mistakes at this point.
There IS a third generator. There has always been a third generator. It is your own fault if you couldn't find it. Damn you lost a match to a 3 gen strat while the other generator was not even close. That's rough.

No, it's not. You got yourselves in that situation, and there was one other generator on the map.

There is always a third gen left.0

I didn’t lose the match actually 2 of us escaped. But nope nobody could find a 3rd gen there was one in the street and one outside a house. There was no basement gen, both upstairs gens were done, the single gen downstairs was done, the one in the park area was done and the other one on the street was done. There was not other gens other than those 2 left if there was someone would’ve been working on it instead of playing tag you’re it with the killer.
Video proof or I dont believe this

protip: if house lights are flickering, there's a gen there. even if you didnt find it. some houses have multiple spots within the house where the gen can spawn between floors, you you very likely kept running past one that might have been somewhere awkward like an upstairs room.

Nope, completely you and your teams fault. What else is the Killer to do, walk off across the other side of the map and let yous get a free gen? No.

Why would it? Killer is doing his objective. You obviously messed up with the gens. Edit Also how did you end up with only 2 unpaired gens?

Everything is camping.
Everything is tunneling.
And soon , everything will be holding your game hostage.0 -
For now on, all killers are to allow survivors to complete all gens with no interruptions. Go stand in the basement until gates are powered, then keep standing in the basement until they escape. Otherwise, you are taking the game hostage.

There was a *many* page discussion on 3-Genning with Doctor on the Steam Forum.
It was cringy af, and apparently is bannable (iirc) if you don't abandon the gens to attempt to kill a survivor, effectively forfeiting the game.0 -

You are right. My comment was out of line.

To break it down further:
It ....
was ....
a ....
joke.OP has had some very clear information given to them on that matter. That was not my purpose. I wanted to make someone chuckle. That was mu purpose.
I regret nothing I said, have nothing to apologize for, and my comment was not addressed to the OP directly. Thus they could not have been the subject of any "implied" bullying. If you want clarification, about my clarification, just let me know.

One sec.
I need to do a point by point of this to understand it.
2 not done: One in the street and one outside of a house.
No basement Gen
Completed gens:
2 Upstairs
1 Downstairs
1 In the Park
1 Outside (The other outside Gen)So... somehow you were still in the game trying to complete a gen when you had 5 completed already?
Am I missing something here or did you not actually check one of the gens because you thought it was complete when it actually wasn't?
