Why Freddy addons have to be so useless
Even before the addons rework, Freddy didn't have much to use, the only good addons he had were the ones that affected the repair speed in the dream world. I really don't understand behaviour.
why can't he have an ultra rare addon that makes him able to use both dream snares and dream pallets but reduce the number of how many he can place?
why can't he have an addon that makes him teleport to generators faster?
why can't he have an addon that makes survivors enter the dream world faster? the same as pinhead chain hunt
why can't he have an addon that counters sleep immunity after a survivor interacts with an alarm clock?
Freddy is a killer that I don't think has any addons, same as pyramid head, all their addons are so bad.

You clearly haven't unleashed the true, game-changing power of the Z-Block. Or the Black Box. Or the missed skillcheck add-ons. Such feeble minds cannot comprehend the true strength of Freddy's add-ons.
(Or in translation, something something statistics something something.)

Freddy add-ons are pretty bad. He need add-on pass.

GoodBoyKaru + ThatOneDemoPlayer = OneGoodBoyDemo

Even better question: why isn't there an addon that lets us play Old Freddy?

I was glancing through addons for multiple killers and it seems like most killers have some addons that are useless. BHVR just needs to do an addon pass for everyone.

The issue with Freddy is that the majority of his addons are extremely underwhelming. He only has 2 or 3 decent addons. Pyramid Head has the same issue but Freddy's addons are in worse shape.

Be careful what you wish for. Pinhead and Twins' add-on passes are prime examples of that. I have no doubt that if they did an add-on rework for, say, Pyramid Head, they'd just buff the numbers on the Blindness egg and Seal of Metatron by 2 seconds and nerf the range add-ons by 0.5 metres each.

It’s the balancing philosophy of the devs. They intentionally make terrible add ons to either nerf a killer, or when they simply don’t know what to do with them. It also pads out the blood web and artificially extends the already ridiculous grind, because they think it creates “player engagement,” which they can then show off to shareholders and prospective licence partners.

They made a power for a Killer so generic that they didn't know what Add-ons to give him.
Old Freddy was different, interesting and had better and more unique Add-ons. I remember when I used old Z-Block with Red Paint Brush to have a 0 meter Terror Radius but being a 4.4 m/s Killer.

Not only does his power kinda suck now add ons can’t even save him. No wonder his play rate tanked

That was the point. He got so many complaints since he was one of the most common killers to face (due to his ease of use) that the devs took action. They were lazy with their action tho.

Combine with monitor for more tracking. I even ran insidious due to no radius as well.

The thing is Freddy was strong mostly because of his perk synergy and ease of use. His actual power was decent but nothing special.
Too bad the devs couldn’t see that. Freddy has seemingly been a design nightmare since day 1

It was due to how powerful they used to be.... BHVR didn't adjust them Slightly which says a lot
Also due to BHVR not really adjusting Killer's basekit
Cause they think that "oh well... We can just make more addons"
