killers who farm bad profile comments
Why is no action being takes against this kind of people. Some main killers go into the game with the main purpose to make the gameplay for the other side as miserable as possible just to get insults on their steam profile. I was against a killer that after the first down brought the survivor to the basement and then he was just standing at front of the stairs (with 5 gens still up). Out of curiosity i checked his steam profile, and what did i find? 686 PAGES of comments, it didnt matter which page i checked it was always the same kind of comments for the past 4 YEARS he has been doing this. HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE EVEN ALLOWED TO STILL PLAY???

camping is not against the rules, while the playstyle is scummy, the people in the wrong are the ones who left the comments.

Nailed it in one. Camping is not against the rules. You might not like it but BHVR has said it's a valid tactic so it's very doubtful it'll ever become against the rules.

I never said camping is against the rules, there is such a thing as unsportsmanlike behaviour to the point that its ridiculous. it was clear he didnt play the game to play it, but just to get salty comments on his profile. dont you understand that with those numbers, 686 pages... not comments

I had to turn my messages off on Playstation because Iβve had a few killers make me bleed out or face camp me then SPAM me with pictures of memes, crying babies and I even once received child p*. Very sad.

You just need to play normally and you will generate hate comments just for camping at the end game, or even just winning....

Camping does not fall under the list of things you can do to report. You try to report camping as unsportsmanlike, you will not succeed in accomplishing anything even if you provide video evidence.

Imagine thinking Salty Survivors sending hate messages is a metric to shun Killers by.
I had to set my Steam profile to private because Survivors would blame any and all losses on me camping, tunneling, or slugging, evne if I never did any of that. Literally every other game had that inane '- rep camper!' idiocy.
Usually after matches where I hooked someone and turned around to see their friend expecting me to walk away like a gentleman so they could unhook. Of course; I chased them, but I was the 'camper' because I did not give them the unhook. π€‘

Dude if you played killer at all you'd know you'd get that many from just playing normally.
As sadly people make up the most random things just to try to harass a killer they just lost too.
You don't want to know how many times I have been accused of "Camping Gens" as killer or "Camped me to death" When I mori-ed them with devour hope at 5 stacks.
Salty comment spam are sadly the norm in DbD for killer players which is why most people turn comments to friends only. Or just set their profiles to private.

I think it is very self centered of survivor mains to believe that we care about their reactions. I can only speak for myself, but, like, I can only humor myself with "waah face camp, waah tunnel, killer bad" so many times before the humor runs dry, Duffy. I am quite easily entertained, but you have to admit that surely no one could sustain themselves on those generic comments for long.

Basement camping is hated by many because they want free unhooks. But there are no free rides in life! Get down there and accept reality, survivor friends! We can get to know each other for the next minute or so, maybe put aside our differences? You never know.

You have to see it the other way around.
Killers often gen negative profile comments for playing totally fair. Just because the survivors felt entitled to escape for reason X.
Now after some time, the killer might think, why not play scummy anyway? Since he'll get the negative comments no matter what.
It's like those guys that belittle the killer after they won, when the killer had a bad match. What do you think they attempt to achieve?

I can admit that yeah those comments would get annoying after a while if that's all you end up getting on them.

I doubt it's their fault.
I went through that myself. I tried to play nicely and I still got told to off myself and DDoS'd. I figured, why should I even bother trying to be nice when it's clear that nobody gives a #########.
I just ended up turning off my messages (and any access to my profile since some real cool people decided that if they couldn't message me, they'd message people on my friends list) and I have to say it's been better since then and even better since I stopped playing Killer.

technically i'm one of those guys, except that i play fair, that's why i kept even those comments... to show how much toxic (and i'm being kind to say only this) people can be just because they lost in an asymmetrical game NOT COMPETITIVE...

Im not surprised he/she got so many pages full of negative comments, there are a lot, and I mean a lot of salty people.
Sure camping isn't fun but it's part of the game, just deal with it and move on it's not that difficult trust me.

Yup absolutely agree, and the worst part is that there are people who just can't let go and move on.
I remember i had 1 survivor who was like that even though I played as nice as possible and got a 4k with 12 hooks.
You could even hear me say when i saw him that i see him hiding but he can go and help and heal the other survivor while i chase another.
He spent an entire year and every week putting negative comments on al my YT vids and dislike them.
Eventually i just banned him as it became very annoying to even get salty comments on other games that he didn't play when i stopped playing dbd.
I kinda feel sorry for those people who get stuck in a negative spiral and just has to take it out on others.

Yeah it is really sad and ridiculous that people go to these lengths over a game.
It's not like you will see them every game, a few if lucky but not every single game.
Even if you would then harass the other over a game is sad.
Even had a 3 man swf sandbagging me several games because they lost while sandbagging me the first time.
Didn't actually thought of it before, but in hindsight i could even report them for that.
But tbh it was so fun to see them try so hard to make sure i would get hooked and failing at it, and they just get hooked and i escaped π
Well eventually they finally got it to work and i was ofcourse 1 hooked, but only at the endgame.
All because i just didn't care and went for the safe π

You can't ban people for a playstyle, besides the game would be boring if everyone had the same playstyle, some match are casual some match are gruesome. DBDs a variety menu.

Does getting camped suck? Of course but its part of gameplay. People leaving ######### comments on their profile are in the wrong. They could also be considered harrassment.
