Killers, just because you have a mission to do remember surviors do too.
This peeved me today, a Killer very much indicating he/she was just there to gain their red shard and that was it, Okay I am not into farming as it's boring yes people will say least you get or still get points but it is boring. Not all Killers do this, but remember I has a survivor have challenges to do as well, and even you opening the gate for me, I may of needed to open it as a daily. Please don't be selfish, you may get what you needed done without playing the game properly and farming, but others have things to do as well and take in regards of others.

And...how is the killer supposed to know your challenge? How do survivors know the killer has a challenge and they're denying it from being achieved? Seems like a weird thing to be frustrated with.

This was it, we was in and out, Killer opened the gate and was all like gg, i got my shards, yeah thanks for my cnsent of giving an easy match it was boring.

Honestly your challenge means nothing to the killer. That's something you have to do and that's on you, the killer has no reason to help you since you and the killer aren't teammates. You're opposing sides with no reason to be "nice" to each other, its survive for the survivors and kill for the killers, nothing more nothing less.

its funny you mention that, because almost exclusively when i play killer, its because of challenges or dailies. I do not receive any such kindness or consideration.

At least they didn't take your game hypothetically hostage by refusing all gen progression with a gen kick build and wraith speed buffs.

No but a Killer can lead a lot of the game, how am I to do some challenges like stun the killer when they are only interested in doing what they want and pulling the exit gate? because I would be upfor options I cant throw a brick at them and be like I need to stun you because some Killers are wham bam thank you ma'am and out on their challenges

if its boring, play the actual game instead. just run from the killer, do your gens, and peace out. if you're sandbagging yourself to help the killer with challenges, you are knowingly making the game boring.

The point is it is boring, don't be selfish and go in with just an in and out of your own wishes esp when people are putting bp offerings etc in, people, esp killers use this as an easy tactic to do their missions and I find it just tedious.

I generally open one gate as a sign that 'no, I don't want to farm but I am giving you the out for whatever reason'. There is a second gate to open if you want it, and I won't stop you.

Omg I am not, I have to do gens just to get the hell out of there because it's boring, why should the Killer get dibs on others doing missions? I need to do a mission but oh no some killer is too fearful to play the game and to their mission as its suppose to and aborts to farming, wooh.

Survivors and Killers are playing completely different games and you can't/shouldn't expect them to help you do whatever you need to do. If I play a killer i don't expect survivors to kill themselves just like i don't expect the killer to give me a free escape as the survivor. If you don't finish your challenge the only person to be upset with is yourself and try again next game.

It can't of been as this Killer very much said I need to do this, we all knew it was farming as we all know how farming goes lol I could of gone to the other gate during this situation but oddly some Killers turn into mind gamers and you dont reach said gate lol

Because the killer controls whether you live or die. Unless you play well enough that their input doesn't matter anyway. Like think about this for a moment, you're literally complaining about the killer offering to collaborate with you, in a non-griefing manner. If you don't like it, don't cooperate.

Yeah, I would encourage players to care when I see Survivors ever give a care about the Killers fun in the game. What's funs for Survivors tends to be boring for Killers, and vice versa, so there isn't much winning trying to make the game fun for just one side. Everyone's going to have their own objectives.

My point is, some Killers will farm to gain an easy match to get and gain their dailies or their arcive missions done, and I am saying, survs may have a mission to do in the same match but they can't due to the Killers.

so you're.... upset because the killer had an objective that didn't revolve around the survivors themselves, and didn't bother trying to kill you? I'm even more confused. You legitimately got a free win when the majority of survivor complaints come from being 1hook camp/tunnelled/etc?
Maybe they're bad at killer, and knew giving themselves a large handicap wouldn't give them a fair game anyway? just gotta reiterate, you're complaining about a free win.
Also, yes, "Unless you play well enough." As in, if you play better than the killer and they can't catch you, which isn't impossible depending on the skill difference.

The entire point of this topic is that its complaining for the sake of complaining, so why not just leave it on your twitter or something instead?
Someone else got their challenge for free, and you didn't. first world problems, especially in this game.

So resorting to ad hominems aside, what did you hope to accomplish with this topic? trying to get killers to give you a free pass in a way that benefits you more? or to not go for challenges they don't think they'll be able to get in a sweaty game?

What's the problem with that tho? Again if you have a challenge you're the one responsible for completing it and not the killer. If you can't get it done in one game then just try again the next, no need to complain about a killer not letting you do what you want. The killer isn't some babysitter and they have their own goals in mind that don't need to align with the survivors goals.

Yes I'm fine with that, because they can do what they want without survivor input. Just like survivors are free to do what they want without killer input. If you deem it "boring" that's fine but then you just try again next game...YOUR CHALLENGES ARE FOR YOU TO COMPLETE AND NOT THE KILLER TO HELP YOU COMPLETE.

Let me put it Plain. Killer has a mission to do, very much tells you they are farming, but does not care of Your mission, killer gates go up ho shoves your arse out. So killer has said gg. Helped him do and get his stuff but no one said he could. What about MY dailies etc.

Further evidence that tome challenges are actually a negative because they encourage players to play sub optimally or even throw the game just to complete them. We've had several challenges where doing them requires you to at least temporarily handicap yourself. Challenges shouldn't result in players playing poorly to complete them.

No we didn't miss your point. You're just wrong, and calling other people selfish is hypocritical when you're expecting the Killer (Your opponent) to play by your own made up rules. As far as the 'some Killers will farm to gain an easy match to get and gain their dailies or their archive missions done'. Survivors have more control in a match than Killer. Killer's can't force survivors to farm, if they try to the Survivors would just finish gens and leave the match.

I've always been against the sandbag challenges, yeah. Stuff like "repair the equivalent of x gens" and "hook survivors x times" are fine since they are the main objective, ones around saves and kicking gens/pallets are iffy since they can go either way, but some outright tell you to play bad to get them.
