Lithe should be basekit - my opinion on this matter
I've been playing DBD for around 1000 hours now, my playtime as survivor being about 700. Even with all this experience and skill i've accumulated for the past months (years even lol? xx) There were way too many times the killer has easily caught up to me after baiting me to go for the vault. I've been using Lithe as a perk for months now and i believe it should be basekit. This change would especially benefit newcomers to the game so they can easily escape the killer instead of getting hooked and facecamped by a salty killer. This game is already not balanced at all considering the killer can literally get you out of the match by eliminating you. Survivors have been really weak for a while now and exhaustion perks are a must-have. Lithe should turn into basekit and function like a normal game mechanic (see the adrenaline rush after getting injured) to make up for it atleast a little. Step by step survivor should be buffed or adjusted so that its fair for everybody and not just the killer. The last few matches i've been easily outrun by the killer - is that even the point of the game? The killer is supposed to be scary and slowly creeping up on you, however he can catch me in mere seconds without any perks. Sorry for my bad english im from Belarus Greetings ChristinaPirog

Every Exhaustion Perk should be on the level of Lithe, but Lithe itself shouldn't be base-kit. As you yourself stated, you got baited (outplayed) and then got hit, that's normal. Killers killing you is also normal, Survivors have been the stronger role for a while

I want whatever you’re smoking.

Survivor shouldn't be able to escape the killer from the beginning, game isn't meant to be like that.

Ok so what would you do with the open perk for Feng MIn then... If you want something to be basekit then come up with a new perk to replace the one you are turning basekit
Also turning something like Lithe into basekit wouldn't work out the way you think... which is why it is what it is

Why wouldnt it work as basekit? Its almost like getting hit and getting that little speed boost. A good replacement could be something gen related that would fit in with her other perk "Technician". Maybe she would be able to add 50% gen progress if she does 4 great skillchecks, and you can do that twice a match.

Mmm, I don't get this joke.

You cannot be serious.

assuming its not a lie, its almost terrifying that people can play this game for 4 digit hours and still have takes like this

So then why do you speak like you're a new player.
"This change would especially benefit newcomers to the game so they can easily escape the killer instead of getting hooked and facecamped by a salty killer."
It should be base kit to "easily" escape the killer? lol

None of the Exhaustion perks should be base kit. They're exhaustion perks because they are all among the most powerful perks in the game. They have a shared cool down that doesn't go down while still in chase because they'd otherwise be ridiculously broken.
And you want to make Lithe base kit? Hard No.

i think all exhaustion perks should be base-kit at the same time, then you can run balanced landing, sprint burst and lithe all at once! Dbd twitter approved!

I mean the game is literally about escaping the killer.

Pop counter?

You're literally playing against another human. They aren't there to lose at your gain.

I forgot this game was called "Escape by Daylight".

Look, I get Lithe is a good perk.
I like my sprint to be controlable like lithe is, but no strong perk should be base kit. You have to decide what you're not going to use instead, end of the story.
If they end up doing BT base kit, which I would honestly appreciate, because I'm tired of having that slot wasted for randoms to be unhooking me without it after luring the killer to me, they would need to buff BBQ and have its radius reduced to 24m or something like that.
There is no way to balance lithe like that, for killers, so nope.

Called "Dead by Daylight" yet most maps are at night.

Youre saying no strong perks deserve to be base kit but youre glad that BT might be basekit? Youre contradicting yourself, and even with 700 hours on surv id say BT is a strong perk.-

I wouldn't say survivors are the strongest role. That goes to killer (unless you're facing a swat squad as a low tier killer). I bet you win more than you lose.
To the OP- No, lithe shouldn't be base kit.

And they don't deserve to be basekit. The fact that I'd appreciate it because of bad experiences, doesn't mean I agree it should be basekit.
I said IF, IF they were to make it base kit. And I also said they should buff a killer's one equally to make it level. I said I don't think there is a way you can buff a killer for lithe.
Anyway, BT is to help each other and lithe is for self gain, so I don't think they're comparable.

I disagree. I think DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, Circle of Healing, old Object of Obsession, Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, Windows of Opportunity, Kindred and Iron Will should be basekit.

I saw a post somewhere (reddit i think) that made up a concept for an exhaustion perk for killers where they just have haste for a few seconds, and their exhaustion regens while not in a chase. I think thats pretty cool

Thats op lol

I'd rather not have an exhaustion perk base kit.
If you get baited to going for the vault then you should 100% be hit, not get a freebee.
You do not balance a game by adding something as powerful as lithe base kit.
You claim survivors are weak but I see plenty of survivors do really well in chase without exhaustion.
You are not meant to win every chase hence why the killer is faster than survivor, I don't know where you got "slowly creeping up on you" when the gameplay is anything but that for 90% of killers.

Take: Lithe should be baskit.
Reason: Because OP does not want to get caught.
Low quality bait.

Lithe has too broad of activation requirement IMO. Instead of using windows and pallet vaults to their fullest, you're committed to using your haste suboptimally. It should not be base kit.
Something more manageable would be a nerfed version of Overcome (call it Undercome) which extended the haste effect after a hit to something around 2,5 to 3 seconds instead of 4 and deactivated if an exhaustion perk was selected. That way, exhaustion-free builds would have better viability, and selecting the most powerful survivor perks would have a trade-off.

Exhaustion should not be basekit in any form.

If by base kit you mean a rushed vault will turn off dead hard for survivors? sure.
I'm assuming you mean a free dash with no exhaustion tho? So a survivor could bring dead hard AND lithe? That's a huge amount of time from lithe dash + hit + dead hard for distance.

If survivors are so weak then how come the 4k rates for killers are so so high?
0 -
I mean the little boost of speed you get after getting hit.

The stats that have been released y the devs are inaccurate. They take everything into account, low MMR, medium MMR and high MMR and calculate an average. The reason the kill rate average is so high is because there are way more players at low MMR, and at low MMR, the game is killer sided. The higher you go, the harder the game is for Killer
2 -
Because those stats are irrelevant because they don’t show the weight that the multitude of different factors have on it that drastically change it?

Ok the issue here isn't that you need lithe to be basekit, its that you are getting baited and losing vault mind games.
So what your asking for is an effect where even if you misjudge the vault and lose the mindgame you can still escape from the killer and you want that to be built in.
A vault isn't a catapult auto escape for a survivor, if it was then mindgames become even more useless and irrelevant than they are becoming now.
Exhaustion perks are strong and can save your butt in a pinch but that's exactly why they shouldn't be basekit, it costs a perk slot to have strong perks as it should.

You do not have 1000 hours.

This has to be bait at this point...

no

? the average kills per match for every killer is around 50% idk where you got the numbers for high 4k rates.
