Can we all just agree that this game is in a complete mess? All I see as options is this read below.
1 either sale this game to a better horror game company
2 or fix your game instead of catering to either killer or survivor side every time either side complains.
3 or let this game rot if you continue this course and continue to ignore the key issues on both sides.
Also stop nerfing killers and perks that don't need it,cause if you still do this then you have picked 3.
If I was you I would either pick 1 or 2. But hey your game choose what you think is best but you already made killers and survivors mad so plz fix.

You cant fix a game where people play against each other. Someone will always complain when they lose. Sorry dude

Then your blind

Sorry, i should clarify, not everyone complains when they lose and say its unbalanced, but a lot do. Thats why it cant be fixed.

Not what I'm on about I'm talking about how unbalanced and other issues it has
0 -
Again this is not about the complaints it's about the main issues that hasn't been fixed.

The problem is that the main chunk of players in this game don't see anything as an issue. We have people defending Boil over, and we had people defending infinites back in the day. Just like people defend stretched res now.
The issue is the game is at an 80/20 split and the 80 happen to make the most money. The 20 get thrown a bone now and then when their numbers drop to low.

So you are angry about balance? With that my only thought would be get rid of all perks and add ons for both sides, keep it purely skill based, then match players in a similar level band. But unfortunately they have gone too far down the rabbit hole for that and have to keep tweaking that stuff or buffing and nerfing characters because of data. Data that doesnt really tell the whole story. Sorry you are having a bad time of it.

You didn't actually list any of the things that supposedly make this game a complete mess, though...?

I think BHVR have done a really great job with DbD. It has it's problems and frustrations - sure - but there is the reason that it's basically the only APVP game that has really gone anywhere.
I do wish changes happened a bit faster, but the game has definitely been getting better. From when I started, maybe 16 months ago to now - night and day.

don't agree with most of this, but i wouldn't mind dbd being sold to another company. red barrels works with the unreal engine and is making their own asymmetrical horror game, maybe they'd be interested.

I agree to this.

I agree...partially.
Boil Over and infinites - that's a dumb hill to die on. There is a reason that Boil Over/Infinite/Overlapping Boon etc. defenses are always whataboutism.
That said - I don't think I've ever seen anyone credible defending Stretched Res. Stretched Res is...basically cheats, and should be treated as such.

It's probably in the best state it ever has been in

How so?

And if it's in such a good shape then why do I see threads calling for nerfs or buffs or just plan complaints?
0 -
Because it was worse before. The meta is arguably more diverse than it's ever been, balance is okay compared to before, the grind is not quite as bad as it was before, and there is a lot that they are working on to make it better.
It's far from perfect, but there aren't nearly as many issues as people make out
And when have people not been crying for buffs and nerfs?
1 -
Your name sure is fitting
1 -
Best option to fix it would be getting rid of SBMM/MMR and not focus on 2 kills 2 escapes.

Ok guess I been letting the fourms get to me. But it's like every single day Theres a thread complaining about something
0 -
Behavior are never gonna sell DBD, this is literally all they have, there's no way their gonna make another successful game either with the way they operate their business.
0 -
Yep and I wonder why they failed other games hmmm
0 -
How...not so?
...
Do you even videogame forum bro?
Balance is an ever shifting, utterly impossible example of Xeno's Paradox so perfect it should be taught in schools.
Every videogame forum with even a tangential PvP aspect is going to be 50% balance complaining and 25% complaining about balance complaining.
That's forums.
Very rarely do people come and post about stuff they like. They are too busy enjoying it.
One thing to keep in mind - when almost all your threads are about balance, that means that:
- You've managed to squash most of your gamebreaking bugs.
- Your playerbase is passionate about your game.

I love this game and play it a few times a week on average, but I do think it’s a pretty bad game overall, just as I can give BHVR credit where it’s due but I do think they hold it back in many ways.
I’m looking forward to alternatives so I can invest my time and money in a product I have confidence in, and a company that I can get on with, but I’ll always check back and have the occasional muck about every few months.

They never made any main games. In the past BHVR made a lot of games on GameCube and Nintendo consoles. All of them were licensed games they never made any original games. They worked on one game that was the most godawful game ever. Made by Activision SpongeBob Heropants. It was ######### awful. How ironic that next year after that god awful game came out. Dbd would release in 2016 and the rest is history

do you know if it was the same staff that worked on those? it's entirely possible that there aren't any common devs between those games and dbd
