Devs love them some survivors now.
I just find it strange the devs have no issue at all throwing in massive perk changes for survivors that literally change the game or are very strong like COH changed the way killers play it was so strong. It ruined entire builds and playstyles.
They change boil over, and again it breaks the game. They immediately respond to it further showing it really was a big deal.
Someone at behavior messed up releasing that.
Yet killers font get that luxury. We get killer nerfs into the dirt. That is about it. Nothing game changing or perk releases that need quick nerfs.
Hell look at Billy's perks. They chopped them up so much nobody touches him. Nothing was fixed there.
The more I play, the more I see the devs coddle these survivors man. It makes me sad that I look at the entire killer roster, and avoid half the killers bc they were butchered into the dirt or they have add-ons that clearly no thought was put into them.
I just don't get it. You'd think they would want people to play all the killers. Variety is nice as a survivor. Nobody wants to play the same 4 killers all the time.
But my God man, look at the killer roster, and go through these awful perks. I choose Billy as an example bc his addons are just terrible. So situational and meaningless I have a hard time choosing add ons when I decide to play with him.
He's just 1. Half the roster is pretty bad. They did him wrong man.
Hiw many Billy's do you guys play against these days?

I find it funny how this is mentioned and yet you literally got the new DMS-PR combo in the last patch, which is arguably stronger than ruin/undying particularly on high-mobility killers but also on less mobility focused ones. Boil Over absoluetly 300% needed the change because it was abuseable, not because it was strong. Unlike COH, which needed the change (and further changes) because of it's strength, Boil Over sat in the corner of "useless in 80% of scenarios, literally gamebreaking in 20".

I mean- you literally chose the killer with Tinkerer instead of, I don't know, Pyramid Head? Huntress? Wraith? Trapper? There's so many killers who have terrible perks and yet you decide to pick Billy, the guy with a niche perk (Lightborn), a good perk on M1 killers (Enduring) and a good perk on high-mobility killers (Tinkerer).
Also- in trying to make this an us vs them argument, you seem to have conveniently ignored the amount of useless survivor perks that also exist in the game.
His add-ons, yes absolutely. All they needed to really change was insta-saw, and yet they butchered his animations and slashed his add-ons into pieces. I still don't agree with that change. But cmon his perks are practically a godsend in terms of trying to do, say, adept Nemesis.

I'd disagree on DMS/PR being strong on M1 Killers. If Survivors know how to counter PR, which they do, DMS won't activate and M1 Killers can't pressure gens enough to make DMS an actual threat

I'd like to make my wording clear, "arguable stronger than ruin/undying". I'm of the opinion that on basic M1 killers without mobility, PGTW/Corrupt is the generally best combo because of it's consistency in allowing minimal downtime and forcing a 3gen. Ruin/Undying on them, because of inconsistent totem spawns, no movement ability to reach said totem spawns, and no movement ability to reach + defend gens you know need defending, just doesn't seem all that good. DMS/PR, while not as good as PGTW/Corrupt on them, is imho still better than Ruin/Undying on them.

Uh-huh, when is the last time you saw the devs throw in or buff anything for killers to the point it changes the game?
They literally break this game consistently with survivor perks. Here recently as well. Several times since October this game has been spiraling out of control for killers.
It's just getting harder and harder to want to play killer.
Survivors already can heal for free. Oh now let's give them a massively buffed perk where they can wiggle free over and over too.
You don't see this crap happening for killers. If anything they just get nerfed.

Patch 5.5.0 with the release of the update to "Dead Man's Switch", a teachable killer perk from "The Deathslinger". Like I just know you're not trying to argue killer's get nothing but nerfs when we got that in the mid-chapter.

Ok gotta chime in. This game does favor the survivors. It needs to. This is a business. In any business you cater to your majority. Survivors outnumber killers 4 to 1. Survivors buy more cosmetics they bring in their friends to play swf, those friends in turn by cosmetics and packs.
If they make the game easier on them and they feel they are in power and win more often they will play more and spend more. It just makes sense. Sucks for the side that plays killer, but they are the minority. At the end of the day it all boils down to money. Cater to your majority and make more.
Let's take a small look at swf. No matter what anyone says Swf IS an advantage. Even if your just messing around having communication is an advantage. My problem is what have they givin killers to compensate? Nothing. They are expected to just deal with it. You should NOT be punished for wanting to play with your friends. It just should be fair and it is not.
I go into every match knowing that I will most likely be at a disadvantage. I do my best, sometimes I win. Sometimes I lose. Just gotta roll with it.

Indeed, DMS is pretty strong... And consistently has an effect, nearly as strong as Grim Embrace, that can proc several times per match, not just once after satisfying a pretty tough condition.
Also Pain Resonance was my game changer: it allows to manage gens while doing your basic objective and you don't have to walk up to the gen PGTW style. It also doubles as a detection tool and gives you a new objective, ie showing you which gen needs your attention and where to find the next survivor, thereby being somewhat anti tunneling. All in all a superb perk.
But besides that a lot of killer issues aren't addressed and playing Killer feels worse and worse, with most powers having clunky mechanics or restrictions.
