What happened to SBMM
It was good during testing then it's like they just hit it with Sloppy butcher and ruined it what happened it was good sure a bit wonky but rare to see it happen then just this.

It definitely works when the population between the roles is more balanced. But it really struggles to make quality matches when wait times get long for survivor. The system is favoring queue times way too much right now IMO and the match quality during peak hours has really suffered.

Its so random now, it might be on or off, I wouldnt be even able to tell anymore. Pretty good job

I'm hesitant to say it even works when the population is balanced due to the fact that your MMR gets ######### if you play during peak hours so the system doesn't know what MMR you're supposed to be in anyway.

I play at night and match making doesn't work. I play survivor and my team are potatoes, I play killer and the survivors are potatoes. You might think well play killer but it isn't fun killing new players and it's really not fun playing solo q survivor when most matches are a loss/draw. Seriously 8/10 of my solo queue matches at night are impossible to win. During the day I escape 60-70 percent of the time and at night I escape 20 - 30 percent. Too bad my work schedule doesn't allow me to play the game when match making actually kind of works.

I would imagine it adjusts relative to your opponent though. Not all wins are created equal and the system knows when a match wasn't a balanced match. The devs alluded to the fact that the system is currently creating unbalanced matches for the sake of queue times. You probably get significantly diminishing returns as the MMR difference between you and your opponent expands. At least I would hope so.

I hope so too. We all know how competent BHVR is lol

SBMM (ignoring how good/bad the scoring logic is) only functions if there are equal numbers of players across all skill tiers. If the best players cannot find matches then you either A. have to place them in matches they will likely stomp people in or B. You make it so they never can play.

It was horrible even in the testing period. At least in the emblem system you had to do stuff to get to Rank 1. SoloQ could be utter hell, but at least a portion of the matches were balanced. Now it's either 4k at 3 gens left or 2 hooks for the killer and we are all out. Literally unplayable.

It must be deactivated, it's so random there's no way it's actually active. You either get 2 Hook games or get 4K'd at 4 gens

I miss when it worked well. For both sides.

It's deactivated, dev said so.

It uses escapes to measure your "skill", it was never meant to be working.
