No wonder why many SoloQ Survivors are in low MMR
3vs1 Games, 2vs1 games, people DC left and right because they go down first or they are getting tunneled or something. Just had two games in row where someone DC in the first 5 min, making the game almost impossible to win. Usualy the game ends with gates open (Killer have NOED because you are in low MMR where this is very popular) or 1 gen left. You could "win" aka escape so many games if you didn't have DC in your team.
Forever loop of Solo Survivors.

People: Don't worry, elo hell doesn't exists
Elo hell:

Solo is a fun engaging game mode that has no problems and definitely doesn't make me regret playing whenever I pick it wdum
11 -
Elo hell doesn't exists because getting higher elo is bad for you.

Elo Hell exists because all Elo is Hell.

You have games that last longer than 5 mins?

Nothing feels better than early DC knowing you lose BP, MMR, no chance to escape and also no chance of doing whatever challenge you wanted to do.
And auto depip as a bonus

Good survivors are playing SWF, they don't waste their time in solo q.
I was mostly a solo player back then but not anymore.

Boosting kill rates in the process. Solo can still be strong but DC's and throwers ruin games. Outside of dumb teammates its still easy. Not once since mmr have I lost in solos and said damn that killer was amazing. I am always pissed at teammates for blowing the game.

And even if you escape low ELO hell, you'll find yourself trapped in the ELO Ping Pong Zone where you face a 10k hour nurse slugging everyone in less than 120 seconds, only to be bumped down to face an average killer that's beatable, only to be bumped back up to the 12k hour alchemist ring Blights etc.

tbh idc about being in super low mmr anymore. Besides, it's weird because from time to time I run into like, idk, a rank 1 wraith and all of my teammates are legends even if i died last match lol

Playing SWF is worse as you will win all your matches and then have to play against Blight every game.

Hell even at my Mid-level ranking I play against Blight 50% of the time, not fun anymore. Blight, Huntress, Blight, Huntress, Blight, Blight, Wraith

Yup, this is my main problem with the survivor MMR right now. Solo q games will death spiral you with low skilled players. it's frustrating. I don't care to raise my MMR but I want a good team.

How does rank work vs MMR?
I see varying different ranks on my matches and I can't tell if it's swf or just one thing has nothing to do with the other.

Technically speaking, "ranks", now known as "grades" aren't used for matchmaking.
However, the recent consensus is that they are at the very least indicative of the player's playtime that season, which in turn has some bearing on how well they're gonna do. Iri 1 players are highly unlikely to be new players, for example.
SWF is also not strictly relevant to the grades. Though you may see a disparity when friends who play a lot versus friends who play very little play, playing together. If that makes any sense.

Throwers are a huge problem in solo queue. Run in for a contested save while injured. Shockingly fail to make the save. Then attempt to kobe when you don't immediately move to save them. That type of thing.

So far I am getting more people throwing because of glyph challenges. They do stick around, but they run with the killer after them at the glyph, and end up on death hook right away. I feel for them, because I wanna get them done too, but damn... Maybe go back there later?
Luckily I haven't experienced that many players disconnecting, but then again, the majority learned to kill themselves on hook when things don't go their way, so...

Yes it does make sense. Thank you!

I will say this as a solo Q player. If I get to the 2nd stage first hook while watching my teammates bless totems, literally stand still doing nothing, or just running around I will also let stage 2 go without even trying. You left me to die so now I leave you with an almost unwinnable 3 man.
Oh 1 other rule for me. If you lead the killer to me in a chase and then try to F me by body blocking, throwing a pallet in my face, or anything like that I'm KMS on hook ASAP.

Only for killers and SWF, for soloQ survivors it's the opposite

I don't know, my soloQ experience ain't that bad. I have very limited SWF games under my belt, so I play mostly soloQ, and most games are totally ok.
Of course you sometimes get doofus survivor mates, but most of the time they come for cool rescues and you for theirs and by now I managed to get into mit MMR were I meet less and less bad survivors.

Every game is a solo match where I can only guarantee that I am willing to do all 5 gens. The other 3 distractions dying only improve my odds of a solo escape.
