Like a DS girl d/ced when I downed her. Just amazing how the toxic SWF people are toxic to the randoms, too.

Yes or when they are the first one downed, they dc....i am usually the first one down lol but i keep playing because things can turn around.....but when people DC on me as the killer, do they think they win because i didn't get the points for killing them? nope....it makes me chuckle, they loose more then me.....which killer do you play most? *s

@Mushwin I know what you mean. It's like "Okay?" but it massively screws over the team. More should be done to discourage d/c imo. I'm not really good at killer. I typically stay around 15~20 and bullied pretty badly by smurfs lol. My favorites to play are probably Wraith, Billy, and Trapper. I'm trying to get BBQ on all of them so I can get mad points lol. I caved and bought LF recently. Edit: What about you? I forgot to ask.

I've been seeing people dc a lot and Legion seems to be causing most of the dc's now especially if they just tunnel the entire game. I even had people do it against a Trapper and a Billy recently so the Billy got us all with no gens done.

Yeah, like a wait time that increases between every d/c.

They were like "I was being tunneled the whole game" and they weren't. They were obsession and their brackets only went like once. I saw the killer more than they did.

The best way to rage quit is to get chased with some good distance between you and the killer.
With the killer able to see you; jump into a locker and leave the game.
Killer opens the locker and you're no longer there.
Survivor escaped the entity and went to Narnia.

Yeah, it's funny when they do that. xD

I only rage(NotReally)quit if I am almost 100% sure the killer is farming or glitching me with a survivor in game. I don't want to reward them for spending ages trying to join each other in the same lobby and succeed at farming the 3 randoms and each other. I don't see how opening a locker is sandbagging....some people just need an excuse to ragequit lol

I don't really d/c, regardless, though I haven't been held captive in game before. I had someome lagswitch and kill everyone at end game. xD It was real weird as he didn't do anything like that for the rest of the game.

To me that sounds like the killer ragequit except he wanted points for ragequitting lmao

A bit. xD He said it was crappy ISP or something, but he wasn't laggy at all the entire game and it conveniently lagged so that he could down everyone, but the last person.

The only times I ragequit are when I'm being carried to a death hook or mori'd and I'm certain that:
1. I'm getting less than 4k BP that game (less than 5 second "chases" and/or 0 generators done)
2. My team absolutely will not benefit from the extra 2 or 3 seconds of my continued existenceThe whole process of being hooked and waiting for the animation to end so I can wait for the endgame screen to pop up is pointless in this case, just skip it so I can get onto the next game and try again.

@t3hp0larbear I've had people d/c and the killer went onto the next person immediately after 'cause they were either trying to block or something like that.

I'm no sandbagger, but altruism in DbD has its time and place. When I'm downed like 2 meters from a hook and at least two of the others on my team are camping out just to try and bodyblock or rescue me from the hook mere seconds after a hook (like the killer won't just turn around and tunnel down a freshly rescued survivor anyway), frankly, my disconnect isn't going to be the cause of a loss.
My "rules" for when I feel it's appropriate to D/C aren't hard, fast, and followed strictly, it's a general guideline I have for myself. It depends on the situation.

Whether they "deserve" it or not, rage quitting is against the rules. I can understand if someone has no other option (game being hold hostage) or their internet is just crap, but DCing because someone outplayed you or because you don't want to deal with something is in poor taste for many reasons.
I can understand that it's annoying to come across farming individuals and people who sandbag. I've come across both and played out the match, regardless. It's poor sportsmanship to DC like that and will often screw over everyone else on the team, be it at the beginning and in the middle. Besides, if you d/c the second you think someone's doing something, they may have had a trick up their sleeve or may not have done it on purpose. Which isn't against the rules.
DCing in reaction to a misunderstanding is just a crappy reaction, anyway, and doing so because you don't like your team is even crappier.

The only thing I don't want to deal with in these situations is watching my character get hacked to pieces or chansawed or gutted alive less than a minute into a game - my time is wasted and the added insult of being forced to watch my character die a brutal death might as well be a gloat. I don't waste my time or energy with people that feel the need to rub it in when I'm beat, I don't see why a game should be an exception.

I agree with you here, but you're missing my point.
I am disconnecting in situations where I am already screwed and there is no way my team will benefit from the second or two spent for the killer to finish bringing me to a hook and go through the hook animation. And, if I'm remembering past instances correctly, disconnecting after a memento mori starts doesn't stop the animation.
The frequency in which this happens in far and few. Really, I think Behavior should implement an option to let survivors skip their sacrifice or mori animation sequence and just go to the postgame screen - this would address and prevent practically all of my disconnects.

@t3hp0larbear Well, the issue is still that it's against the rules, whether it's in poor taste or not. How'd you get into a situation where you were getting moried after a minute of the game btw? When you play killer, you get basically the same thing. I had a duo teabagging 'cause I hadn't caught them. I killed the other two, but they still thought it was a win, I guess. One of those newb bullying types, too. What can you do? It sucks to lose, but it happens.
Leaving the character in game and allowing you to leave early from a death may be interesting, but I dunno what the implications of that would be.
