What do you think new Haddonfield will be
In all honesty I'm seeing new Haddonfield as just repaint and breakable walls not getting rid of the obvious problem it had aka the windows and fences.

I assume mainly fences.

I'm gonna make some random predictions:
1) House of pain will be given the Badham treatment, aka breakable walls
2) There will be a second basement spawn added, similar to how Midwich/RPD has two despite not having a killer shack
3) Generator spawns will be tweaked slightly to make them a bit closer together, perhaps generators will more commonly spawn in the middle rather than scattered around
4) Some of the filler tiles will be made a bit less safe/shorter
5) More easter eggs. :D

Worse than the previous version, as all reworked maps are.
If Chapel, once the most balanced map in the game, is now extremely painful to play on...then Haddonfield will become a monster.
15 -
The same, but with BREAKABLE WALLS! And pretty. The art team nails design, it's the balance team that has a rough time doing things correctly.
2 -
To be fair all the farm, MacMillan and auto heaven maps are fair they added breakable walls but not like at every corner just at the main building and it doesn't seem as bad that's how you make a good rework.
1 -
But those maps were already fair to begin with.
Haddonfield was never fair, and we all know it is going to get worse. If it doesn't, then all of us can proudly say that we we've witnessed a miracle.

Coldwind got better overall, like the maps are still terrible don't get me wrong. Cowshed is still an unholy abomination
But it's not as bad as pre-rework. I don't mind Thompson house, Abbatoir or Torment Creek that much.

Not to me. And Cowshed will always be an abomination, regardless of what happens.
None of those maps you've mentioned have ever bothered me, to be honest. Especially Torment Creek, as it was the first map I've ever played on as killer, back in 2018.

Yeah I mean when survivors burn coldwind they're usually trying to get rotten fields or cowshed
I think Thompson house was really bad at one point pre-rework, same with Abbatoir and what people used to call the 'Matt Walker' windows. I think they got nerfed before the rework though.

That it'll nerf my Trapper again and go from one of the most fun with him to another unfun map with him. 😔

Abattoir had a nasty window on its main building and some people used to have problems with the number of pallets and tiles on Thompson's House (which, to be perfectly honest with ya, was not as bad as some people made it out to be), but both of those got changed way before that atrocious reworked dropped.

I take it you never went to The Game map before?
4 -
Hopefully better, I'll take anything over the p2 graphics.

Just make it look like the movie and we’re golden.
1 -
It’ll look better, since the art team pretty much always nails it.
House of pain probably gets breakable walls, and main building might get the same with the god window (the one that currently doesn’t spawn anymore) so it isn’t a god window.
Hopefully they reduce the fences a bit.
And that’s about all.
1 -
Better graphics, breakable walls and more hatch spawns
0 -
Made worse.

It will be completely open and all of the buildings will be infested with breakable walls.
0 -
Honestly i hope they take out house of pain entirely. It's so annoying going to myers house, go upstairs and someone already dropped and is running there.

bad

Well, everyone already addressed the main issues. So I hope for a more foreboding and scary atmosphere, this is supposed to be a cold, foggy and moist October night, aka Halloween or Hallows Eve, but it feels more like a hot summer night where you can't sleep and lounge a bit outside. And while there are some interesting pictures on the walls, most houses are just shells. This is the case in most houses and places in the game, but Haddonfield used to be lived in, until just a moment ago, so maybe they can take this opportunity and add a few furnitures or toyscin Myers room or girly stuff in Laurie's etc.

Are we just making predictions of this happening in the future or was Haddonfield confirmed to be next realm up for a rework? Curious to know as I don't keep up well with updates and news.
0 -
It's coming soon thats why they disabled the map offering for it.
Personally I expect it to be much the same but better looking with breakable walls & probably terrible grass that will make my trapper cry!

My current assumption is that this'll be primarily a graphics overhaul, and they're gonna tweak a few balance things while they're in there. Presumably we'll see something for some of the more problematic houses and hopefully something for the fences.
Honestly, people meme on breakable walls, but a few smartly placed breakable walls in the taller fences actually would be a good idea. Preserves the narrow choke point for killers that can capitalise on it, but gives the ability for killers who can't to make that area more mindgame-able.
Visually, I'm hoping they don't change it dramatically- it's not like Coldwind or Gideon's where those maps looked awful and now look far, far better, this one already has a nice balance of darkness and contrast so it's still possible to see things on it. Ideally I'd like to see more detail inside the houses, they've always felt a bit barren to me.

It was confirmed to be one of the realms to be reworked iirc and it beibg disabled for so long kinda points to it being the next one

Wait questions wouldn't it better for you to trap the pain house window and door and having one spare for the basement stairs instead of the grass
Is the grass on Haddonfield really good trap locations?
I don't play trapper that's why I ask
1 -
These days most survivors expect the houses to be trapped & they'll be disarmed in seconds most of the time.
The grass on haddonfield is probably the best in the game for traps.
It helps with the fences making running down the side of the house so narrow of course but for me personally haddonfield is (or was we'll see) Trappers best map.
Had many a massacre on there with him.

A visually updated version of the current Haddonfield with a few breakable walls here and there. I just hope they will remove the great fence of china, or at least make them shorter.
0 -
Just like new badham.. And new cowshed… and new Gideon… and new crotus prenn. The exact same as before
2 -
It'll be a stronger map for survivors
0 -
Just a disjointed labyrinth of long fences. No buildings, just fences.
0 -
Probably worse to play on than it already is, considering graphics > balance for the devs.
1 -
I think a lot of people here are forgetting that Haddonfield is THE #1 most complained about map balance-wise. I'm sure the devs will have made sure to take on all that feedback.
1 -
I’m excited for it
1 -
Like the old one, but worse.
0 -
Slap some breakable walls and fences on it. Add some ridiculously safe pallets. Don't fix anything that's actually wrong with it.
0 -
Just give me some more visual Easter eggs from the Halloween movies. I'll settle for that.
0 -
I’m sure they’ll add breakable walls like every other map rework.
0 -
Like most things these devs put out, bad and broken. Need to be disabled upon release due to some glitch / exploit
0 -
Chapel is still really balanced imo, why you say that?
0 -
not good
0 -
I wonder if BHVR care their playerbase has such little faith in them.
Probably not.
0 -
Who?
0 -
I guess I'm just weird as I love the coldwind remakes
0 -
if they put Breakable walls...is gonna be a living hell 2.0..to play on that map
