Is the cosmetic glitch bannable?

Hi all,
I was curious if the cosmetic glitch is bannable or not? I saw some comments saying it is bannable, and others saying it isn't bannable. This has me a bit confused and if someone can clear this up for me that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

The cosmetic glitch does not provide any in-game advantage, and so is not bannable, from the most recent developer comments. However, it's worth noting that on these Forums it's not allowed to promote the use of, nor explain how to do, the exploit in any way.
