All of My Matches Tonight Have Been With Teammates With Under 30 Hours
Send help.
Every match has had a teammate with under 3 hours played. I'd post a picture, but images are still disabled.
My friends and I are getting frustrated. How are we expected to have a fair shot when we have to carry actual new players who can't hit skill checks.

My guess is that the match making wants you to have a 50% escape rate and it will throw every nasty trick in the book to make sure that happens.
Something like this happens in other games as well like League of Legends where match making will throw you under the bus to try to force a 50% Win Rate.
Aka match making is sabotaging you for playing too well.

Yeah.
I feel horrible for the Killers too.
They aren't good either and are getting matched with two people who have over 4K hours and two people who have 3950 hours less.

That's what I suspect but I have no proof of it.
After we played with a Meg who had 25 minutes and 0 BP earned we got into a lobby with a 150 day Xbox player.

This is my experience trying to learn killer. I am ok with Legion. Or I was before boons. Now i am trying to learn new killers and I get those kinds of Lobbies. About every 10th match I get thrown new players and 4k at 5 gens. I wish I could get something in the middle. I just want to practice chase lol.

I've been trying to play a killer I've basically never touched since getting their achievements day 1. I got 1 4k and the rest of the night has been absolute sweat squads bodyblocking every injured survivor and getting frame perfect stuns against shred.

I've been losing match after match as the killer, getting 1 or 2 kills.
This last match, never mind the 0 kills; I got 0 hooks!
If 3 survivors are bodyblocking the hooks, then who tf is doing gens??
My rating should be dropping, right? The matches should be getting easier, not harder, right??

This crap seriously needs to stop. I don't care how long I've been in queue. I don't want to play with completely new players. Please respect the time I've put in your game. Thank you.

This is actually why I've quit playing - I keep getting put with newer players as survivor with already stupidly long matchmaking time. Then I keep getting maps I ######### hate as killer or forced on maps because offerings. This is why I don't play anymore.
If matchmaking is going to give me new survivors as teammates at least just throw me immediately into the game so I'm not waiting 10 minutes for my garbage game. If my queue time is 10 minutes give me players with my time. Otherwise don't bother and just throw me in a game immediately.
tl;dr I'm willing to take long queue times OR new players - Not both at once.

I am perfectly willing to play with new players if my queue's are short.
However, my queues are 7-12 minutes long.

It just doesn't make any sense. Why do they think a vet player wants to have an essentially unplayable 10 minute match after waiting for 7-10 minutes in queue? It's wasting 20 minutes of our time vs another 2 or 3 minutes in queue for a quality match.
It just sounds dumb if you say it out loud. "This player with 3000 hours has been waiting for 10 minutes. Because of this, we'll match them with a player who bought the game last Tuesday. This way they won't be unhappy with waiting so long." It's like waiting 30 minutes to get into a restaurant, and after you finally sit down and order, the waiter punches you in the stomach instead of giving you your food.

I mean, if you lost because all of your teammates are brand new to the game, was it really a skilled play in the first place?

Isn't this another example of how MMR is done, because it works by sum of the team experience.

Problem with doing that in DbD is that one weak survivor will completely throw the game by not going gens, going down in 10 seconds, being wildly out of position, and often a combination of the 3.
I think MMR tries to make matches that way, and they're usually brutal. The killer can't catch 1 or 2 survivors, and the other 2 survivors do everything in their power to throw. It often ends in a 4k despite the killer not being anywhere close to the skill level of the two higher MMR survivors. It's a mess.

That does seem consistent.
After my years of playing Killer, it really does only take one weak link to throw the game. I, of course, feel bad for the new players who get tossed with us. There's no way they can be expected to compete at that level.
