Insidious on freddy hahahahahahaha might as well use overcharge also.1

It's a problem that the DEVs have to fix.
Survivors are just doing their objective. Not sure what else you want them to do aside from rescuing/running when the time calls for it, and doing totems.

If you don't camp and playing agressively gens not supposed to do in 5 minutes
That was English.
Anyways, like I said, not much else for survivors to do objectives wise. What do you expect to happen? It's the games problem, not a player problem.

All 5 gens done in 4 minutes is not possible if killer is good. In this case sounds fair to me, he was wasting so much time and wasn't good at chases, especially considering these survivors weren't either.Myerinodudd said:

Don't get me wrong, Freddy needs a buff, but match could had gone better with more experience.
You did well running monitor on freddy, but would be nice if you also ran perks like spirit fury and enduring.
Maybe Freddy mains like @PhantomMask20763 and @Raccoon can give you some more tips too.1 -
Yeah, you got 2 hooks because, as i said, those survivors weren't good at chases either.@jackmadrox said:@Myerinodudd said:

"Not good at chases?" Did you not see me hook two survivors? And I'm just playing by the survivors made up rules, I didn't camp or tunnel, and yet I still got teabagged at the end of the match. Are you telling me I should have tunnelled?
Also if you camp while facing a good team you are gonna get genrushed as well, so i wouldn't advise it unless they are dumb.0 -

Actually, he was pretty bad. One of the reasons Freddy gets a bad name. He requires good play and this guy was anything but. He made no effort to pressure the gens, just chased whatever was dangled before him. Freddy has to go pressure the gens and slow it down.
Gen rush is what it is, learn to pressure the gens.

just chased whatever was dangled before him.
And that's what a killer is supposed to do, to chase survivors. You're talking like I should ignore the first two survivors I see, and try to find one working on a gen. But then you could say I wasted time by not going after the first survivor I saw, and that I didn't capitalize on that. It's a double edged sword. And what's more, it takes attention away from the real issue: that gens are done too quickly.
You have to be smarter than the survivors. If you are chasing one too long, gens are being done. Get them off the gens, down one in the process, don't chase the one they want you to chase. The one looping all over. Trust me, it works.

You did well running monitor on freddy, but would be nice if you also ran perks like spirit fury and enduring.
Maybe Freddy mains like @PhantomMask20763 and @Raccoon can give you some more tips too.Freddy is hard to play on console, especially with every second counting and his power working against him - You need to adjust your controls to get better/tighter turning on corners, which will drastically reduce chases, and provide better corner checks/information when not in a chase.
Don't lunge unless you're guaranteed a hit - This also wastes Freddy's time, doubly so if you're colliding with stuff around corners, but that loops back to the above point.
Tier 1 Insidious & Fire Up are not very good on Freddy (or anyone), M/A is pretty good!
This will probably come with adjusted controls/experience, but regardless of the killer you use, don't let people get away because you're having trouble tracking them. This is doubly true for lower-tier killers, as they'll have a much harder time making up the time/physical difference. This is super bad for Freddy, as it allows an opportunity to remove the Sleep status/wake up.
As mentioned before, don't go into dead zones on the map outside of a chase, and know what you can/can't hit through/over (like when you swung on the tractor, but it was impossible for you to hit the survivor).
Perk Loadouts:
I use BBQ/Ruin/Remember Me/NOED as my "Try Hard" build, though I have a few fun ones. This loadout DOES NOT help you in the chase or with tracking, but it lets you build up for the end game.
Remember Me + NOED (even without NOED if you've been doing ok) lets you steal games, especially if you can Sleep the (hopefully 3) remaining survivors.Goal:
-Find someone ASAP and sleep them, sleeping anyone else you encounter during the chase.-If you sleep the Obsession and haven't landed a hit on someone else that you're chasing, focus the Obsession, otherwise repeat the previous step after hooking. You want 4-6 Stacks of RM 100% of the time.
-Once hooked, use BBQ to check for auras - if none are around, patrol the gens closest to you or visit any gens you noticed starting during your chase. If you see some auras, try to sleep the closest one (or all of them if it's not your Obsession that's hooked).
To get 6 stacks, after hooking the Obsession, go for them again as soon as they are unhooked - Borrowed Time and DS will actually work in your favor in this endeavor. Alternatively, if you want to get real "sweaty," bring a Mori and slug the Obsession continuously after the first hook (to activate BBQ stack/Mori) , checking back on occasion via your aura reading to see if they're still down.
As long as the Obsession is dead, once endgame hits, regardless of how many people you have hooked, and even whether NOED is going to proc, YOU HAVE A CHANCE SO LONG AS YOU CAN SLEEP EVERYONE. You may even want to try and set this up prior to the last generator being done, but this is something that people can counter by not completing the last gen while anyone is asleep. The doors will take an agonizingly long time so long as they're asleep because you have 4-6 stacks, and you'll be able to track everyone.
-You're literally turning the end game into YOUR game.
-Slug them all if you can, and hook them for great justice!
Don't be afraid to disrespect pallets to get a hit (you can always break them after the chase or during if the survivor just stands near them). Removing them buffs your endgame exponentially.
Don't be afraid to lose your Ruin totem - Even if you force 2-3 failed skill checks on it + cleansing time, that's still not bad. Some games it will insta-explode, but always focus on your endgame - Do not lose hope / Beiieve in the Dream(world)!
Other stuff like learning which loops you can mindgame, which ones can be extended by gen/object placement, etc is something that can only come with game experience or self-study.
From your play, it's obvious that you're new, but if you can work on your controls and get decent with Freddy, you'll find that playing as most other killers....is DREAMY @_@
This is some very basic stuff, but I hope it helps

One thing that is consistent across all platforms is the following things to learn to do as a killer.
Learn which pallets are safe for survivors and thus must be destroyed and which ones are unsafe for them and should be left up. The unsafe ones you leave up since you can mind game them and also get hits off of due to the slow vault and easy hits.
How to path your tiles better, since it's all about the chase at points and maneuvering survivors where you want to go. Making sure your pathing is optimal and choosing when to cut corners and when not to cut corners.
Where are the good vault locations and good looping spots at and how you can cut the paths off better which ties into pathing.
When to chase someone and when to just let them go and go for someone else instead like the person working on the gen while you tunnel someone near it.
Which gens you should ignore and which you should keep pressure on like gens on the furthermost edge of the map should be ignored. When you've got 3-5 gens all clustered close together those are the ones you should be pressuring.
When survivors are most likely going to go for an unhook and also where you should be hooking survivors so plan ahead. If you use up hooks in the middle you create a dead zone of no hooks and thus a safe spot for survivors.
The same is true if you use up all the hooks in one area you make it impossible to hook anyone since they'll make sure you down them in a dead zone. Now you can slug them but if they're super far away from the gens you need to cover you've screwed yourself.
There's lots of things you as a killer can do and the biggest one is admitting your flaws and learning to improve on them.

I also want to know how they can genrush so fast. People say games last 3 minutes. I mean wth?
I have never been in a game that lasted that fast, even in games where Killers are AFK and just letting us run willy nilly, the gates are not open in 3 minutes.
How are these miracle 4-man SWFs doing it?
1 -
It's really not. They did all they could short of searching chests and exploring the insides of lockers. At some point it becomes your responsibility to apply pressure to more than one person.Myerinodudd said:

You call that a gen rush? I have had so many matches where the survivors had the exit gates open before the 4 minute mark. And no joke, they get less than 12k points per survivor when that happens. I don't understand why they only do objective points in matches. Then only safety pip. Like, I don't care if I lose all 4 survs, but at least get 20k bp ffsjackmadrox said:1 -
However, I still say ruin is overrated. They can still gen rush with ruin if they are good. Overcharge is my perk of choice.0
