Playing killer is so miserable
Comments

I've been hearing a lot about how VHS is the next big thing. Interesting to read your comments.
Is that a widely held opinion about that game. And are survivors generally as unpleasant as those in this game?

Cool cool. Don't really wanna spoil myself considering that I haven't faced him yet. Was just curious anyhow. Thanks!

- Not all maps were "fixed"
- Gen speed is fast... Regression is slow... Do you know how fast Pop's regression goes away (10 seconds give or take)
- 4 Killers out of how many (wow)
- How useful is it really? (lose 15% of progress but no regression afterward... can be easily repaired)
- They aren't really played that much in high MMR
- How many Maps are actually Killer sided
Also you listed 4 perks do you use them for every Killer... on every map
And a solo Survivor can do a Gen in 80 Seconds (with only hitting good skillchecks... even faster if great skillchecks are hit... and even faster if teammates are helping... and even faster with Prove Thyself and Resilience and even faster with BNP)... Ruin will take 158 Seconds to regress a 99% Gen... Pop will take of 25% instantly then normal regression so it takes about 300 Seconds... PR does 15% instantly then normal regression so it takes about 340 Seconds... and normal regression will take about 396 Seconds to fully regress a Gen back to 0%
"How is playing killer miserable, exactly? Because i get 3-4ks almost every match. Do you know why? Killers have many gen regression perks that they can rely on. Killers can literally win against every solo team.. they just sometimes struggle while playing against SWFs. If killers bring good gen defense perks and addons.. survivors don't stand a chance. If you still keep losing despite all strong killer perks... this is a skill issue."
You also said that you 3-4K every match... so are you lying to us (oh here I'll fix it so it's readable... K done)
You don't "just win" with 4 Gen Regression perks and Addons (how many Addons actually slowdown the Survivors working on a Gen)... There 7 Gen Regression perks BTW How many of them are useful?
3 "Gen defense" perks AKA stops Survivors from working on Gens... those being: Corrupt, Thrilling Tremors, And Dead Man's Switch
3 Debuffing (Gen speed) perks them being: Thanatophobia, Dying Light, and Pinhead's Scourge Hook perk and all of them suffer from the lack of real power

Dead hard should not invalidate a killer's power. My condolences to every trapper player.

Is it that bad? Seems like streamers are having a good time with it.

Survivors are going to leave the game faster if all they see is bubba face camping at 5 gens for an EZ 4k. Don't you understand that you have to allow killers to be powerful so survivors can have fun? Otherwise its no fun for literally anyone. Also Pinky finger was gutted even though its trash, and iri head is now worse than having no addons. Of those the only decent example of a good addon is alchemist ring, and I think every killer should have an addon thats just as strong.
1. They returned god loops with map reworks and breakable walls.
2. The only reason the gens aren't the fastest they've ever been is because old BNP used to finish whole generators.
Killers are also balanced with their addons in mind. Survivors are not balanced with their tools in mind. (If they were, those 8 second heals with medkits + CoH wouldn't be a thing.) I feel they are only OP because no other killer has anything of the sort.

And Nemesis and Twins.

I think other killers do have just as strong add-ons. Nurse has blink recharge, Clown and Huntress have faster projectile speed, Hag has teleport distance, Pig and Pinhead have hidden auras for the side objectives their killer powers spawn, and that's all through add-ons. So are those OP too?

Yeah I gave up as killer. I only play killer for dailies at this point and even then I barely even try anymore. I don't even use addons at this point. Survivors are just so toxic. All 4 will be fully healed at open exit gate and sit there till last second. Why? To tbag pretty much. It's so bullshit cuz it wastes everyone's time. At that point I just want to go into the next match but nope I gotta wait for these ######### to suck each other off. When boon totems get nerfed to only 1 per game instead of infinite relights I'll consider trying as killer again.

Are those addons as strong as alchemist ring + blighted crow? Maybe nurse recharge blink addons? But I would say none of the other addons are anywhere near as strong as that combination. Most killer addons are massively pathetic and nigh on worthless. And the ones that are even mildly okay get gutted.
At this point I literally want to know who is the blight main on the dev team so maybe they can advocate for any other killer.

I would walk this statement back a bit. Apparently WART, who I was playing, is seen as the weakest of all killers in that game. My opinion has moved slightly, albeit I stand by the sound and tracking being worse than DBD by far, I'd also say it may be mostly intentional to the design.
I hope there are some ways they can make it a bit more decipherable, such as the "blood" in the game being more visible (although again, I can understand why they don't want tracking of injured survivors to necessarily be a given, as it can be in DBD).
With more time with the games unique sound design choices, I may still may come to fully be won over by VHS. I hear criticism and praise in somewhat equal measure, so it may have a significant chance going forward, and even DBD had a very rough early phase, look where it's at now

I think my train if experiences with it in the first 3-4 days kind of gave me a bad taste overall, but by the 5th I've started appreciating more little things about it tbh, despite my earlier criticism. I still don't love the sound design, but I think I can get used to it now.

You know whats more frustrating than having 4 enemies? having 5, playing solo queue is the epitome of depression

Honestly I've played a lot of solo que survivors (most of my hours playing survivor in fact) and I find most of the time its better for me to make friends with the killer than it is to rely on my team.

The experience you have as killer really depends on the killer you're playing, the perks you're using, and the level of survivors you're facing against.
I just played Wraith on RPD (kill me) against a SWF, all four of them had stacked med-kits (purple) with the exact same perk build of Decisive Strike, Dead Hard, Unbreakable & Soul Guard.I knew it was a SWF because the second I knocked a med-kit off the first survivor with franklins, the other three dropped their med-kits by a generator before they even saw me, effectively denying me a whole perk slot. Hopefully, it's obvious, but the game was pretty much me sweating to pull a 2k, it was miserable. They had chance after chance, over and over with DH/DS/UB/SG and it's honestly frustrating to see survivors getting away with so much. From their perspective, it was barely a challenge and I doubt they felt as miserable as myself.
If I played a stronger killer, or just had a better map, maybe I could've gotten a 3-4k if I brought the Blight out with meta perks & alchemist ring, but this isn't every game.. but it's not exactly uncommon.
So yeah, play a low-tier killer and you'll face misery. Play a top-tier killer with the strongest stuff in the game? You'll pretty much only be challenged by a powerful SWF.

Are you your own worst enemy, Lucario576?

If you actually want to win, and you're facing survivors of equal skill, it absolutely is not stressless.

Im dumb, LOL
1 -
Oh boohoo, at least you can't be face camped to death on your first hook as killer and basically not get to play a match.
1 -
1.all they added was more junk to the point where it seems most pallets are safe
2.not everyone has all the gen perks and perks shouldn't be the answer to fix the gen speed.
0 -
I don't think thats fun or fair either, I don't like to play that way and it would be nice if survivors gave me a chance to not play that way. I don't go into every game assuming I'm gonna be facing gen assassins that I'll have to comp camp every match, but survivors DO treat me like I'm gonna do that.
1 -
The game's still in Beta and people who have played it already said that it plays differently from dbd

No but survivors got enough second chance ######### to mitigate that.

I'm a machochist i think. Still playing killer, maybe even more than survivor these days. I take the daily insults when i lose and when i win.
I take the daily eye bleeding flashlights and tea bags and yet im trying to have fun. Maybe someday someone appreciates the efforts we killers go through to give you survivors games.
Behaviour... can you make huntress 115 killer? I don't understand why she isnt while plague is and so is nemesis. Both are also ranged killers. Also artist.

Wanna know how we can tell playing Killer is miserable?

Cool. Was interesting to read your feedback, thanks.

I used to play Killer most of the time but nowadays I have switched to survivors a little more often simply because every Killer game has become a sweat race to get anything done against survivors that have become a much greater force to deal with than ever before in the history of Dead by Daylight, thanks to all the overpowered perks they and balance patches they have recieved.
Survivors have become a bully squad able to finish all gens before the game even begins, not much fun in that now is there.
