Hex perks are unplayable
I've used devour in my past 6 matches just to see if I can get any use out of it at all.
All 6 matches, not exaggerating, devour was broken in the first minute. 1 match it was gone immediately. That tells me the survivor spawned in, and went right to it as soon as the game started.
This is perk slots we're talking about here. So if the devs are not going to bother hiding these things so we can get some use out of them then why bother?
In all my games using a hex totem, it just becomes an empty perk slot early on.
It's a joke. I guess I'll just stop using hex perks unless I'm running penimento or something .
There was a time where they supposedly fixed this. Guess not. Or it broke again. I'm not getting any luck with them lasting at all.

I'd like hexes to spawn blocked for a minute or so, or spawn on a random dull totem after a minute.

Face it, totems belong to survivors now.

Which is sad because I thought boons were a joke at first, "there's no way they have infinite charges that would be dumb"

There´s no guarantee/minimum that your hex will remain (even with Undying) for more than a minute.
You´re playing against the map RNG, totem spot RNG and against four people who know where totems could spawn.

Hex mechanic should be reworked as a whole. A mix of Plaything & Boon.
That a Hex is applied only to 1 survivor (similar to plaything) & use more Hex will bind multiple effects into 1 Hex (like Boon).
Example you use Lullaby & 3rd seal. Hit a survivor will turn a Dull into Hex 3rd seal only to that survivor, hooking them affect him with Lullaby on that same Hex.

The whole point of hexes is that they're a gamble for strong effects. Making them guaranteed for a certain amount of time would lead to some pretty negative consequences. They're strong at the neglect of survivors and changing that would throw off their balance.

Correct. Unfortunately BOONS lowered odds significantly for gamble to pay off.

Reminder that Undying got nerfed because survivors shouldn´t be forced to cleanse the same hex up to 5 times IF they´re unlucky at a literal coin toss.
Meanwhile killers get to play janitor whenever they see a boon totem (a side objective), juggle their remaining time between hooking (main objective) and gen regression.

And that is because boons are designed poorly, not hex perks.

Meanwhile, survivors get boon totems. What is this balance you speak of?

Agree again.

Boons are poorly designed and messed up a lot of things. That doesn't take away from the fact that the original design works. Just means something needs to be done about them.

But the game is so killer sided, how could that be! (sarcasm, cause I know some people won't get it)

They just need to add a cooldown or tokens to boons, that would fix the main issue about them.
Whoever set up a boon should get a minute cooldown after their boon got snuffed. Not after placing it. So a player blessing a totem could go bless a different one right away as long as the first one doesn't get snuffed. As soon as it's snuffed, their boon perks go on cooldown for a minute (or something) before they can bless a new one. OR that specific totem can't be blessed again for the rest of the match, or it gets blocked for a minute or something. Or destroyed entirely. Why should cleansing a hex break the totem, but snuffing a boon doesn't..?

It's killersided if you're camping the survivors at 1 gen left and score the 4k by grabbing the rescuer, slugging the 2nd rescuer and downing the gen jockey + unhooked survivor.
TL:DR playing Canon!Amanda never felt more great.

Just make it so that the killer can reset their hexes if they're not cleansed, and so if you're running boons you're also giving the killer the opportunity to reset their hex totems. This means to truly destroy a killer's hexes you gotta tickle all the bones.
